Congrats to anyone who got approved or ready to be interviewed!!

I called USCIS and put in a service request for my I-485..it has been more than 60 days since I submitted my RFE and I haven't received any news about my case. My receipt for my service request used to be MSC in the end, but now it's NOL (New Orleans Field Office). Does that mean my field office currently has my application? Does anyone know or ever experience this before? Thanks!!

Yes, the same exact situation. I put in my SR after not receiving any decision on my response to RFE, and my referral number ends with BAL (Baltimore). Idk about you, but this excites me. It was just assigned for response yesterday so no word yet. I called and asked what it means but the woman was unhelpful lol I scheduled an infopass for August 30 just in case.

When you folks did the SR on the RFE, was it because the status did not change to "received the RFE" on the USCIS website, or because there have been no news for over 60 days?

Mine updated to received 3 days after I mailed it. I put in the SR because they are supposed to notify you after they have reviewed the response and it's been over 60 days and nobody's told me anything.

My wife just had her interview yesterday and she got approved and the new card is being produced now!!!!!!:D

She should receive her approval notice within a week and should receive her green card within 3 weeks.

Our interview went well, the immigration officer was really nice. He did not ask anything but he wanted to see some additional documents that we brought...he ended up taking 15 pictures, joint bank statements, and joint phone bills and that is it!

Good luck to the people that has the interview coming up!!

Congrats!! Did you guys prepare on the questions to be asked during the interview or just winged it? It's very reassuring to know that some immigration officers are nice!

Small update..

EAD Status is on "Card was mailed" and no change on i-485 it still says "Interview ready to be scheduled" and it has been 30 days.

Quick question, does the AP and EAD come in a combo card or AP as a paper and EAD as a card that I would use to make a new SSC?

Same on the "Card being mailed to me" today, I guess we do really have the same timeline haha. My i-485 is still on RFE received though so no interview anytime soon.

Man, today was a rough day waking up grumpy and feeling worthless until I received an e-mail...

I'm tearing up!! A SR was submitted earlier this morning so I was like.. hmmm it's probably an e-mail confirmation or something but nope! The SR hasn't even been assigned or processed so I don't think it might have taken a part in the update. For those with cases in the NBC office, it's gonna get there !!!

Now I gotta make a plan to start opening joint banks accs, getting my drivers license, and applying to jobs!

When is your PD and did you requested AP too? I am guessing yours was processed by NBC

I'm guessing PD means priority date (sorry not 100% familiar with some terms) if so, the notice stated it's May 12th.

I did not request AP, and yes, mine is being processed by NBC.

Yes peiority date, so your waiting time was around 95 days, which is around the time it should be, I think delays most people claim they are having of over 110 days is because they requested AP too, and AP processing time is longer than EAD. I should be expecting mine in around 18 days hopefully!

I called USCIS to try to do the same thing and was told that I could not place the SR. I would try again, but the rep placed another SR on for my EAD being at over 90 days and that's really what I care about at the moment.

To be honest, we just bought additional documents but did not practice any of the questions....We have been together for 5 years and lived together for 2 years before we got married (my wife came to US with K-1 Visa. The immigration officer had our K-1 documents with him when we were doing the AOS interview.

He told us that before we went there for the interview he was studying on our file and everything seems great and maybe that is why he did not ask any questions.

Hopefully you will get your interview soon!

Good Luck.
