I am generally fairly patient about this stuff but I think it is time to call. The trouble is USCIS usually gives those generic answers.

My wife just had her interview yesterday and she got approved and the new card is being produced now!!!!!!:D

She should receive her approval notice within a week and should receive her green card within 3 weeks.

Our interview went well, the immigration officer was really nice. He did not ask anything but he wanted to see some additional documents that we brought...he ended up taking 15 pictures, joint bank statements, and joint phone bills and that is it!

Good luck to the people that has the interview coming up!!

Congrats! Makes me want to move to Charleston!

I'm with you all and this frustration with USCIS telephone reps. I called because I sent in my response to the RFE over 60 days ago and the woman on the phone gave me this long scripted lecture about sending in RFEs on time. Why are you telling me this? I sent in my response the day I got the RFE so why am I being lectured about time? The nerve. At least I meet your requests within the time limits. Meanwhile, it's been over a week and nobody's responded to my SR. But what do I know? I'm just an immigrant -_-

So, remember I put in an SR regarding my response to the RFE? It was just assigned to an officer for response. Hopefully I hear back soon. I do believe that my case has been moved over to my local field office though. So, that's good news. Hopefully I've have an interview date soon.

Do you happen to remember how long did it take to get the USCIS response by mail after your SR?

Also, sorry to get political, but the more the political and social climate intensifies in this country, the more desperate I am to get this process done. I really don't need to be ripped away from my career and my family, and dumped on a plane due to some new surprise law. Sometimes I wonder if it's even worth it. Why do I want to be here so bad anyway? This place is nuts.

I haven't received any mail at all. My SR has still been assigned for response but I haven't received anything yet.

Nothing has changed with that i filled hmmm like 3 service request for my biometrics for some reason all the service request reference number at NYC at the end and found that a little weird because i called on July 31st and spoke to a tier 2 rep because i was about to lose it at this point and when she created the service request for both my EAD card and Biometrics they both had MSC at the end which seem more realistic since NBC(MSC) is where my case was and finally Friday 11/08/17 my service request was assigned to my officer and on Monday 14/08/17 it was completed and they said they sent a response both forms say this. so i only saw this last night and i had no clue if it was by mail or email so i call this morning to as and i almost lost it because instead of the chick help me she's tell me about she cant create another service request because it hasn't been 30 say im like miss that not what im asking you so i told her have a nice day and got off this phone because i already trying not to lose my find waiting. Any ways congratulations to everyone who are making progress hopeful im there with you soon.

You should have seen it after Sep 11, It was way worse back then. It is just the bureaucratic racial structure of the system. They fear globalization. They think it will vanish the American culture, which is something that never existed in first place. So, they try to make immigration (GC, Citizenship) as complicated as possible. But don't worry, being a british comes in handy in those situations. You have higher leverage and security. Hope your case see the light soonx

Welp, we put in a SR yesterday to expedite, so we'll see how that goes.

Anyone else find USCIS officers to be so crazy neutral and difficult to read over the phone? It was like the lady was reading from a script haha

Small update..

EAD Status is on "Card was mailed" and no change on i-485 it still says "Interview ready to be scheduled" and it has been 30 days.

Quick question, does the AP and EAD come in a combo card or AP as a paper and EAD as a card that I would use to make a new SSC?

Congrats to anyone who got approved or ready to be interviewed!!

I called USCIS and put in a service request for my I-485..it has been more than 60 days since I submitted my RFE and I haven't received any news about my case. My receipt for my service request used to be MSC in the end, but now it's NOL (New Orleans Field Office). Does that mean my field office currently has my application? Does anyone know or ever experience this before? Thanks!!
