So, remember I put in an SR regarding my response to the RFE? It was just assigned to an officer for response. Hopefully I hear back soon. I do believe that my case has been moved over to my local field office though. So, that's good news. Hopefully I've have an interview date soon.

Became a citizen 6/2024. Now filing for my mother.

Forgive me if this is a silly question, but how do you track your SR and know that it's been assigned to an officer?  Do you have to call USCIS or is there somewhere online I'm totally missing?

Thanks for all your help!  Very excited and happy to see that several of your cases are moving along quickly, and can only hope the same for ours. :)

If you go to check your case status on the uscis website there is an option to log in or sign up. Choose sign up and you will be asked to enter your information from there.

Then when you sign in you can choose to view any one of your cases and there will be a history of activity in each one that you can view.

Once you sign up, it will make more sense!

An update to USCIS times has been posted today and it shows a a back change on the processing times, sadly they went back to March 2 applications

Which says as of May 31 they are processing EAD/AP applications filed on March 2 ,2017

They are digging and dumping the same pit for the last two months

I just checked my case online and it says:

On August 15, 2017, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us.

Finally!!!

Thats a great news !!

What service center you are with?

That timeline on the uscis website is less reliable than the one here on visa journey. It's based on people updating their timelines and shows that most everyone as of May 1st is receiving their EAD cards. Tomorrow it will most likely be may 2, so focus on that. Occasionally, it moves ahead faster than normal and may progress a couple days ahead in one day. Keep your focus on that! It's much more reliable.

My wife just had her interview yesterday and she got approved and the new card is being produced now!!!!!!:D

She should receive her approval notice within a week and should receive her green card within 3 weeks.

Our interview went well, the immigration officer was really nice. He did not ask anything but he wanted to see some additional documents that we brought...he ended up taking 15 pictures, joint bank statements, and joint phone bills and that is it!

Good luck to the people that has the interview coming up!!
