Now it says our SR for the EAD has had a response sent, and that it was completed, but we haven't received any email or text messages 😳

Citizenship process complete!  First a J1 work/travel Visa visitor from Philippines to Texas where we met each other, then back to Philippines.  Ultimately, immigrated here via a K1 Marriage-based petition in 2016, AOS started in 2017, completed in 2018, ROC started/completed in 2020, N-400/Citzenship granted in 2022 - timeline link below:

Ok yall, need some advice

So husband originally didn't apply for AP because we didn't think we'd need to leave the country any time soon. And we assumed he'd get his green card before our wedding celebration in turkey next June. But now with how slowly everything is going, I worry about having his green card before next June.

Do you think we can file a separate AP application as a follow up to the previous applications, even if it takes longer to get it? How do they handle situations like that?

Removal of Conditions

08/14/2019: I-751 mailed
08/20/2019: I-751 delivered to Phoenix
08/26/2019: Check cashed
08/29/2019: 18 month extension letter received
01/08/2019: Biometrics completed

Naturalization

07/29/2020: N-400 submitted online

12/21/2020: Interview date

It means someone over at USCIS looked at your request. You'll prob receive something in your email or mail.

FYI during my expedite process, my status updated to "we sent a response" and "it was completed" like 6 times. This is why I think this combination of updates is a touch and nothing else. However, since this is your first touch, you should expect correspondence.

It is funny because I put a SR on the 2nd of August and it was pending until I put a second SR earlier today. Literally, 2 hours after I put the second SR, I received the email with this update. I have no idea how the USCIS progress anything at this point

Yes you can totally apply for AP separately, there's just a filing fee you'll need to pay for it since you didn't file together.   Make sure to include all the relevant info with your application and the two passport photos, message me if needed :)

The only 'RESPONSE; I have read about on here is 'that your application is within processing times'...

I have never read a response which says 'oh yea, we are working at a snail speed and we do apologize for your application being outside of processing times and for that we are mailing your EAD right away' :lol:You never get that type or response ever LOL!
