2 years???!!! Oh, that would be terrible!

I wonder if we move to DC will the case move with me? We've talked about it when the tenancy is up in December this year.

Do you mind me asking what the reason for expediting the EAD was? Did you have a job offer? I'm expecting my EAD to come before I get any offers, I've been applying, but just curious. I'm now worried about by AP as it seems likely I'll need it for travel in November, but less certain I'll get it.

Ah well, time for another cuppa :-)

I assume it would. If moving were an option for me, I would seriously consider it. My husband may have to move for a while with the Navy and although I won't move with him, I'm considering changing the address to wherever the hell he ends up just to get out of Baltimore. I needed the expedite because I already had the job and I couldn't continue working without U.S. authorization. You should get it by November! At that point, I feel like a SR or ombudsman request should move that right along. But then again, USCIS answers to no one and we are all in their mercy :(

Hmmmm. Well we're looking to move in December but not before so maybe I'll get lucky and won't have to worry about it. But I'm not convinced now.

Trying not to let it all bug me. Always try to go a day without checking but can never seem to manage it lol

Howdy follow April filers just wanted to share some updates on my case with USCIS. PD 04/28/17

July 12th -  1st S.R EAD was not assigned for processing.

July 27th - 2nd S.R EAD was not assigned for processing.

August 1st- 3rd S.R EAD was not assigned for processing.

I decided to call up one of USCIS representative via phone after putting in my third S.R via USCIS website. The rep... Was very helpful she checked n told me that my case was outside of the processing time n that she had seen where I had made a S.R today n withing 5 days an IO will respond to my case. Within an hour's time I check my case status on USCIS web link n saw a notification which read your EAD case has been assigned to an officer for a response.

Folks plz share if u have similar  experiences. Don't know what to think or expect from this notification . My case has been 95 days n counting n 10 weeks out from biometrics. I need that EAD to start working tired been home.

Update Guys S.R was completed a few hrs ago. I received an email stating the following.

The status of this service request is:

Your case is currently under review.  You should receive a decision or notice of other action shortly.

I suggest you get your congressman's office involved. I had that same reply and never got an answer for it.

Only 3 weeks after I involved my congressman's help did I get my EAD.

It's funny isn't it. No matter how many times we read on here that everything is going to be fine and it's all routine stuff, we can't help but be nervous. I was all over the place at my Embassy interview last year, including giving out my work number instead of my personal one.

Just relax and focus on your breathing. It isn't a tricky exam, it's about what will be one of your favourite subjects. You and your other half :-)

Yes. I'll be a sweat-soaked wreck on my interview day too :-)

I move in 2 weeks. Do you know if this change of address "restarts" the date? I heard an RFE does so I'm already upset lol

I mailed my husband's tax information in today to USCIS despite not getting an RFE. I've read that submitting additional documents without an RFE is not recommended because it will "confuse" USCIS. I sent it in with a cover letter and a copy of the I-797. If USCIS gets confused about that then I give up on my entire application  I'm counting down when I can call and put in an SR. 10 days left! So anxious. I'm considering quitting my job as an attorney and joining the military once I get my residence so I can become a citizen ASAP. But I hate exercise, hard labor, and following orders so I'd probably just end up getting my lazy butt deported :D

Hahaha! My husband is Navy too so he exercises all the time. I watch from the couch with chips and cookies in my lap :pop: Maybe I should start training. By the time USCIS processes my case, I'll probably be fit enough to get on the express train to the Navy seals anyway

At least you're ready to be scheduled for an interview!! But I feel ya - I hope your EAD just pops up the mail unexpectedly and gives you the joy we all need :)
