I'll be at 75 days on Monday since submitting my AOS and I 765. I am most likely going to put a service request in Monday and see where that goes although the timeline is 90 days, but I have a feeling it may go past that from reading some previous timelines.

keep us all up to date and if there is anyone that has recieved their EAD or have got their GC interview from filing in May, please let us know your timelines.

my Pd is May 24th and my interview is scheduled for August 2nd... I'm starting to get nervous about it LOL... wish u best of luck on your process!

just your typical immigrant LOL!!!

Timeline so far:

May 23rd    : Sent i-485, i-130&130A, i-131 and i-765 along with supporting documents at around 6PM via UPS next morning delivery.

May 24th    : USCIS received packet at 10 AM.

May 31st    : 4 texts and emails NOAs for all the applications and signed up for case status account.

June 2nd    : NOAs in the mail.

June 9th     : Bio-metrics appointment notice dated June 2nd. Appointment scheduled for June 20th.

June 12th   : Bio-metrics done, Walked in with an infopass appointment that nobody asked for. They didn't even ask why i was coming in early.

The person who dealt with me was very nice and welcoming.

July 3rd       : At 11AM received an email saying your case status has changed to interview is scheduled for August 2nd...

August 2nd : Attended interview was approved on the spot... IO was nice professional and polite but not friendly...

I got my Combo EAD card few days ago, but I had to send it back to USCIS -_- because they issued it to me by mistake. I applied for a Refugee Travel Doc but was issued Advance Parole instead and they had a nerve to ask me to refile I-131. Incompetent people... They even accused me of choosing the wrong box on I-131. I was like "This would be my third time applying for a refugee travel doc, I wouldn't make a simple mistake like that." I refiled my I-131 again with an expedite request due to USCIS error. And waiting for the correct EAD to be sent to me. Useless people.

@imdastyle - do you have a photocopy of the 131 you filed with them?  If you do, email it to them showing the correct checkbox, then call them and ask for tier 2 and try to get that email to the person on the phone and tell them what happened.  Also call your congressman and get them involved

sorru you are going through this bud - if you have a copy of your application you should be able to get them to correct their mistake by showing proof of it

What are the thoughts on submitting a SR online after the 75 day mark on the I-765? Do you folks think it's beneficial or detrimental to do so?

You're welcome to try it, but I did and still haven't heard anything after 13 days.

What is the harm in just submitting one? I'm at the point where I will be as annoying as possible until I get information of some kind.

They have all these deadlines for us, but when it comes time for them to process everything, there is no deadline, just open ended timeframes that may or may not be accurate.

I've decided to be more aggressive in my approach now. Instead of waiting for the RFE for my husband's tax transcripts, I'm just gonna mail it along with a copy of the NOA. I'm hoping it means someone will at least look at my file and I'm not tryna wait another 60 days for them to review my Response when I do get the RFE. Then I'm still gonna put in an SR on August 12.

Hi,

Very interested in your case progress as I am also with the Baltimore Field Office, although live in Laurel, MD which is pretty much same distance between Baltimore and DC. I had my case received on 24th May. Had biometrics on 20th June. Didn't file my AP with my initial application as I misunderstood that you didn't need to give a travel date. Filed for that two weeks ago and received written NOA just today for that. I arrived on a K1, I don't have an I-130 application.

My EAD 75 days will happen early August and I will submit SR as soon as I can. I see you got yours pretty quickly, did you expedite it (I didn't know you could and must read up on that!)? I had a request for initial evidence after filing my AOS, and the letter worryingly said "you didn't get married in time" even though we did. All I had to do was send a certified copy of my marriage license (I had only sent a photocopy with the original application) and that cleared it up. So my AOS is 'ready to be scheduled for interview' since June 29th. I am hoping they update their processing time info because for Baltimore it was last updated May 31st 2017, stating they are currently dealing with case dated 6 May 2016! Their stats show only something like 6 cases in the last 12 months so I hope that means the next update shows a significant shift!

Incidentally, the tax transcripts thing was the reason it took so long for us to get the application all sorted in the first place. He hadn't filed for 3 years and so had to play catch up. So although we were married in Feb we didn't have everything ready until May. That said, it wasn't a cause for the RFE, thankfully.

Anyway, just wanted to say 'hello' to a fellow Brit in the Baltimore system, and good luck :-)

My Pd is May 24th too. That's super quick for your interview, congrats! I've had 'case read to be scheduled for interview' since June 29th. I'm expecting a long wait, looking at Baltimore Office processing times. Will send SR for my EAD as soon as 75 days are up.

Good luck!

Hello again everyone!

I'm surprised people already got interviews before their EAD? is this normal? I was really hoping to get my EAD first before my interview so I could open a joint bank account with my husband (long story short i'm unable to renew my foreign passport.)

I was able to open a joint bank account with PNC Bank when I was visiting in October 2016. I presented my UK Passport and Uk Drivers' license as my ID. No issues. Obviously I didn't have my SSN at that point either (although I got that pretty quickly once I arrived in January). Which bank have you been trying? PNC was easy peasy!

Hey, fellow Brit! I swear, nothing annoyed me more than learning that Baltimore is one of the slowest offices in this country. You're a better person than I am. I filed the I-864 anyway then made my husband file his taxes. I needed my EAD asap so I just came to terms with the inevitable RFE. There is one person in the Baltimore group who has been waiting 2 years now and I'm just like damn, please, no. Please.

2 years???!!! Oh, that would be terrible!

I wonder if we move to DC will the case move with me? We've talked about it when the tenancy is up in December this year.

Do you mind me asking what the reason for expediting the EAD was? Did you have a job offer? I'm expecting my EAD to come before I get any offers, I've been applying, but just curious. I'm now worried about by AP as it seems likely I'll need it for travel in November, but less certain I'll get it.

Ah well, time for another cuppa :-)
