I wanted to do so, since I have been pending for 80 days, no RFIE/RFE, and did my biometrics 5 24.

Please keep me updated with the results of your inquiry

I will definitely keep updating.  I really doubt anything will come about because of doing the inquiry, but at least it makes me feel like I'm doing something.

Congrats MccSya!

Today, I submitted a case inquiry / SR for our EAD being outside normal processing times - reason no update in more than 75 days.  Will let you all know what happens.  EAD received May 3, biometrics completed June 1 for all 3 applications, case status still "Case was received" since May 3, cases are at NBC

Hi all,

My EAD status has not changed since they received my application on the 4th and 5th of May respectively (still says 'Case Received' on my EAD application and 'Fingerprint fee received' on my AOS application)

I just called USCIS and put in a service request for my EAD application. Biometrics were completed on June 1st with no RFE's before hand.

Waiting patiently for a response and will update once i hear back.

good luck and respect to you all, its been a ride i won't forget.

Best,

G

P.S - one thing the guy on the phone mentioned to me was to MAKE SURE i am registered with USPS to receive mail my address. He mentioned that sometimes if the person isn't registered when sending out the actual EAD or GREEN cards, they may get bounced back and delay things further. ....might be obvious to some but just a heads up in case.

Good luck and welcome here.  Yes, you made me think about that today.  I never registered my wife at our address with US postal service, but I do recall putting my name and address on all of our applications and forms in the "in care of address" sections provided.  Everything should be addressed to her, c/o me and my address, I would hope.  Thank you for bringing this up, gonna look into registering her now too, under her new married name that we applied with on the forms

It's a request for Initial Evidence for I-485. I'm wondering if they dislike the fact that I've only been in my job for the past 9 months and am using it on my affadavit of support?

I'm reading elsewhere on VJ that this means that our 90 day clock restarts. Which would really suck, as my husband has had some leads on potentially great jobs in the past couple of days.... would hate to lose the opportunity.

that sucks but i do think its 6 months that you have to be at your latest job to show that you are continuously employed there so 9 months should be OK... RFIE does reset your clock but there have been many people on here who still received their EAD/AP approval within the original 90 days so keep praying and hoping... God bless us all...

Hello,

Im still waiting on an interview date. I think I made a mistake asking for an expedite EAD without waiting 3 more days lol, because they accepted my expedited request and now asking me for proof.

my husband i way above poverty line, and I only have a cover letter and a mother that needs me back home.

Im thinking of not sending anything via fax and just wait for the normal process. Will that cause issues for me? I heard if you got rejected on expedite EAD your case is  moved to the bottom of line.

btw Ive never received any email of an approved expedites request. I had to call to check.

If your application, after the 3 days, has been pending for more than 75 days, you don't need to submit an expedite request, just a case inquiry because case is outside normal processing time, and in your description mention that it's been more than 75 days.  That said, you can submit to expedite you'll just have to show proof of job offer and meet the requirements for financial hardship, regardless your spouse's salary (spouse has to be above poverty line for your AOS to go through, but spouse can still show financial hardship even if he has a great income, just look at the requirements for that and see if you can show it if you're interested in proceeding with the expedite route).  Otherwise, if your case is outside of normal processing times, your case inquiry might lead to an expedite without and proofs of anything.  At least, this is how I understand things to be, may want a second opinion to be certain.

Glad to see everyone is moving along! Has anyone actually got a interview date as of yet? Just curious - assuming our interview wont be until February-April, but just curious?

Been waiting on the mail man to get here daily with the EAD but nothing yet :( We did book out trip back to Philippines for December though at least! As far as travel, I had read some Caribbean countries allow spouses of US Citizens who had EAD/Adjustment status will let them come in without requiring a Visa due to being married to a US Citizen. Ideas? Like Mexico/Domincan, she would normally need a tourist visa for her passport but if she is married to me, and has her EAD and marriage certificate, they would let her enter essentially as a US citizen or "on my passport"?

Did you apply for Advance Parole - Form I-131 with your EAD and AOS?  If you did, check your status on that case too, from what they told me, EAD and AP will come as a combination card together if you applied for them together.  If not, apply for it now, it too takes approx 90 days, and before you have your green card, you will need AP to get back into the US if you travel outside and try to re-enter.

That is a very important point worth emphasizing,  My understanding is not only will you not be able to reenter the country, if you leave the country without AP you forfeit your AOS petition.
