My wife just received her I-485 Interview Letter from the USCIS:D

I see some people did not have an interview for the AOS but at least our case is moving.

Hopefully the interview will be easy.

One problem we have is that we haven't heard anything for the I-131 and I-765....Should we call the USCIS to see what's going on?

I would say that you should forget about the EAD/AP for now and just concentrate on the interview... bring anything and everything they could ask for and prepare for any question they might ask and attend the interview with confidence... EAD/AP is just a temporary fix and you shouldn't worry about it coz u should always have your eyes on the goal... which in this case is the GC... Good luck with your interview...

just your typical immigrant LOL!!!

The person who dealt with me was very nice and welcoming.

July 3rd       : At 11AM received an email saying your case status has changed to interview is scheduled for August 2nd...

August 2nd : Attended interview was approved on the spot... IO was nice professional and polite but not friendly...

Howdy everyone I would like to share some information on my SR done today 75 days since PD 04/28/2017. So I put in a SR for my EAD today online on USCIS website and got this message below:

"As of July 12, 2017, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number SR11******************, is currently not assigned for processing."

Has anyone here experience anything like this? Please share your experiences.

Hello folks, I've been following this thread for a while but only got the courage to post today :) I'm also a May2017 AOS filer with the following timeline.

04/29/2017 - Packet sent to USCIS Chicago Lockbox (I-485/I-130/I-765)

05/02/2017 - Receipt date (PD)

05/12/2017 - NOA letter received with Notice Date of 05/08

05/19/2017 - Biometrics appointment letter received for 06/02

06/02/2017 - Biometrics completed

*** No update since and patiently waiting ***

Hi

@MAYNYCFiler2017I've just submitted an SR today to inquire on my EAD (no update for 76 days - PD is 05/02/2017) but got a different response.

Thank you for your request:
USCIS will review and process the request
Expect a reply by August 8, 2017
Your request ID number is SR11************

Was wondering how you submitted or checked your SR, or maybe something has changed on how USCIS is handling service requests. I feel helpless not able to drive for my wife, and especially to work and start saving for us.

Appreciate any feedback.

Thank you guys!

Ugh, ridiculous that it took that long to get that sort of response.  Did they give any indication what the RFE is about?  Hang in there, just send in whatever they're asking for as soon as you know what it is and can get it to them.

Citizenship process complete!  First a J1 work/travel Visa visitor from Philippines to Texas where we met each other, then back to Philippines.  Ultimately, immigrated here via a K1 Marriage-based petition in 2016, AOS started in 2017, completed in 2018, ROC started/completed in 2020, N-400/Citzenship granted in 2022 - timeline link below:

It's a request for Initial Evidence for I-485. I'm wondering if they dislike the fact that I've only been in my job for the past 9 months and am using it on my affadavit of support?

I'm reading elsewhere on VJ that this means that our 90 day clock restarts. Which would really suck, as my husband has had some leads on potentially great jobs in the past couple of days.... would hate to lose the opportunity.

Sending thoughts and prayers your way, did you have an EAD application too?  Maybe that one won't be reset, I'd read up on that.  Sounds like it's only for the AOS, which can take anywhere from 90 days up to 3 years to get.  EAD and AP will work to keep you functioning like a citizen until AOS goes through at least.  Conversely, I've seen some other posts on here where they received RFE and then got an interview and filed around the same time I did, while you and I are still waiting to hear back
