Howdy everyone I would like to share some information on my SR done today 75 days since PD 04/28/2017. So I put in a SR for my EAD today online on USCIS website and got this message below:

"As of July 12, 2017, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number SR11******************, is currently not assigned for processing."

Has anyone here experience anything like this? Please share your experiences.

Wait a few hours to a day, most SR's for EAD expedite get assigned the same day.  If its not assigned by COB tomorrow there may be something up, but nothing to be concerned with at the moment.

08/13/2005     Married USC

05/08/2017     mailed I-130 / I-485 / I-864 / I-765 / I-131

05/16/2017     Case accepted and routed to NBC

05/22/2017     4 NOA1's arrive in the mail

05/27/2017     Biometrics appointment letter arrives in the mail

06/07/2017     Biometrics complete

06/12/2017     Requested expedited EAD

06/15/2017     EAD approved

06/22/2017     EAD/AP arrived in mail

Nice, congrats! Was is at BWI? (we are from Baltimore office area too :))

We flew into Miami before getting to BWI so I can't comment on BWI experience. I can see how MIA would deal with a lot more immigration issues compared to BWI tho.

Became a citizen 6/2024. Now filing for my mother.

Thanks! I agree that probably even IAD border control officers deal with more immigration issues than BWI people.

Each state has different rules, in Texas the DPS requires the applicant to have lawful status. They have a list of acceptable documents to prove legal status. An Adjustment of Status applicant with a pending application can use the NOA 797C as proof of lawful status. They still have to check status using SAVE system, which is an USCIS system that local government offices use to check legal status. I went to apply same day I did Biometrics and had to wait about a week to get response. Once I received the letter I went back to the DPS and they gave me a license valid for 1 year, I have it in hand.

Something that you have to be aware is that once USCIS accept your application of Adjustment of Status, you get lawful status immediately, and the 797C letter showing acceptance of I-485 application is proof that you have a pending application.

I just checked on your state and it seems is possible to do it, you have to take your unexpired Foreign Passport  WITH Current Valid USCIS Documentation (I am guessing form 797C) and also you have to get a letter from the Social Security Administration showing that you are ineligible for a Social Security number as of right now. I hope this helps.
