What are you adjusting status from, and when did you file and do biometrics?

Are there any K1 to AOS who filed in early May, did biometrics in early June, did not expedite EAD, and have heard anything back after biometrics?

Its really helpful to everyone on this site to fill out a timeline and keep it updated

Were adjusting from Tourist, and did bio metrics as walk in on June 14th.

For some reason cant find the place to update my time line.

Thanks for your replies WizFit.

For timeline - Goto Menu -> Immigration Timelines -> Add/Update My Timeline (might say create timeline or something if you haven't added one before)

Citizenship process complete!  First a J1 work/travel Visa visitor from Philippines to Texas where we met each other, then back to Philippines.  Ultimately, immigrated here via a K1 Marriage-based petition in 2016, AOS started in 2017, completed in 2018, ROC started/completed in 2020, N-400/Citzenship granted in 2022 - timeline link below:

Hi everyone,

USCIS received our paperwork on 5/5/2017, NOA on 5/8/2017. Filed EAD, AP, and AOS all at the same time. Got biometrics appointment done on 5/30/2017. All through the NBC or Cincinnati office.

My question is this: Why is the Cincinnati office seemingly so much slower than the other offices? It seems like almost everyone here already has their EAD/AP complete and some even with their AOS ready for interview. We have nothing. I called the NCSC and was told that they are backlogged and I could expect to see my application looked at within a YEAR?!!? Is this normal? What do I do? What can I do? Please help.

Adjustment of Status:

5/03/2017:  I-485, I-131, and I-765 packets mailed to Chicago lockbox

5/08/2017:  USPS delivers I-485, I-131, and I-765 packets to Chicago lockbox

5/10/2017:  Check cashed by USCIS

5/12/2017:  Received NOA1's for all three

5/12/2017:  Biometrics appointment letter received with an appointment date of 5/30/2017

5/30/2017:  Biometrics completed (Cincinnati Field Office)

7/26/2017:  USCIS reports I-485 ready to be Scheduled for Interview

8/02/2017:  USCIS scheduled interview for 9/7/2017

8/27/2017:  EAD/AP combo card approved

8/31/2017:  Received EAP/AP combo card

9/06/2017:  Applied for SSN

9/07/2017:  AOS Interview - APPROVED!

Nice hearing from you askelove, it's been a while since I've seen posts from a lot of the people who initially began posting on this thread, and I was hoping to hear from some of them.  It looks like we are both still waiting patiently.

Waiting patiently sums it up for me, EAD was the critical phase for me as bills were starting to pile up. Now that I have my EAD the pressure is off and AOS can proceed whenever they want. Btw, no status change on AOS since NOA

08/13/2005     Married USC

05/08/2017     mailed I-130 / I-485 / I-864 / I-765 / I-131

05/16/2017     Case accepted and routed to NBC

05/22/2017     4 NOA1's arrive in the mail

05/27/2017     Biometrics appointment letter arrives in the mail

06/07/2017     Biometrics complete

06/12/2017     Requested expedited EAD

06/15/2017     EAD approved

06/22/2017     EAD/AP arrived in mail

When you expedited, how long after the fax did your online update? Know its a short week this week. We faxed documents on Monday the 3rd and online is still showing my expedite request was complete and next steps are "If we accept your case, you will receive a receipt notice.  If we reject your case, we will send you an explanation with instructions." Debating when we should call, and nothing from congressman either.

If you read the previous page, i expedited last monday (June 26) and i still havent received an email or letter on the mail. I called this monday (July 3) and the lady told me that if i hadnt gotten a reply is because they are extremely packed with expedite request and to allow it at least another week.

Guess i will call again next week but i am definitely worried now.

Mine was a strange series of events:

June 12 - I requested expedite, that same day my online status changed to "we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited"

June 15 - My online status changed to "We ordered your new card"

June 16 - Received the RFE letter in the mail requesting substantiation of severe financial loss

That makes a total of 5 days to approve my EAD

Best as I can tell, one of two things happened; between June 12 and June 15 either they found my job offer letter that I attached to my I-765, or my local Congressman's office contacted USCIS providing them my job offer letter because my EAD was approved without me faxing it.

The short of it is, because I didn't have to fax my evidence I don't know how long after faxing to expect online update
