Congrats vocal!

So, I'm still wondering if anyone who hasn't done expedite and hasn't had any RFE has heard back anything after having done biometrics - for EAD/AP or AOS?  My wife's AOS still says it's at NBC as "Fingerprint Fee Accepted", since May 3 (biometrics since June 1) - and EAD/AP still say "Case was received".  Getting anxious for a response of some kind, considering EAD/AP should be done in a little more than a month by estimates on here.

Citizenship process complete!  First a J1 work/travel Visa visitor from Philippines to Texas where we met each other, then back to Philippines.  Ultimately, immigrated here via a K1 Marriage-based petition in 2016, AOS started in 2017, completed in 2018, ROC started/completed in 2020, N-400/Citzenship granted in 2022 - timeline link below:

Read the email again. It should not just be a confirmation email but should provide you instructions on how to fax evidence. Look about 2 paragraphs up from the bottom. It should say something like: The status of this service request is:

Upon receipt of your request for expeditious handling, your case was reviewed and a determination was made that we need additional information to make a decision regarding your request. Please fax proof of your extreme emergent need or severe financial loss to the following number: 816-###-####, Attn: LA####, Div. # Team #. All foreign language documents must be accompanied by a full English translation. Please include this notice with your fax.

Finally got my expedite on where to fax in for the financial loss. What all did you fax? Just the offer letter and a cover letter explaining you needed the job? How much details? Any copy of bills? Just trying not to get this rejected...

We did, our expedite failed originally due to RFE before we could process our new expedite(on the 30th) our status changed to ready for interview on the 29th) after having gotten an RFE for our 485 after Biometrics.

That's great! I already had a job so I faxed them proof of current pay. My husband makes above the poverty line but I am the primary breadwinner. I explained that in the letter and attached rent payments (in my name). I also have student loan payments so I attached that statement and proof of payment by me. I also attached proof that my insurance is linked to my employment and termination means I would no longer have health insurance. Everything I explained in the letter that I faxed also.

Ok gotcha.

I am the primary bread winner, but this would help us a lot. Right now we barely do month to month after expenses, but with this bump it would make us livable. Debating how much info to put in, such as child support payments or what. Some bills aren't in both of our names as of yet but still show both of us. Guess will just put it all.

I don't think it will hurt. My goal was to show where all the money was going so they would understand why the expedite was essential to our survival without extreme disruption.

hey guys, thanks for all the wonderful info and support everyone on here provides... i have been reading posts on this forum from last year ever since I got engaged to my USC wife... never really posted anything as didn't have anything new or different to say... Now that we have reached this point in our application I thought I would post a loose timeline of our process...

Timeline so far:

May 23rd  : Sent i-485, i-130&130A, i-131 and i-765 along with supporting documents at around 6PM via UPS next morning delivery.

May 24th  : USCIS received packet at 10 AM.

May 31st  : 4 texts and emails NOAs for all the applications and signed up for case status account.

June 2nd  : NOAs in the mail.

June 9th   : Bio-metrics appointment notice dated June 2nd. Appointment scheduled for June 20th.

June 12th : Bio-metrics done, Walked in with an infopass appointment that nobody asked for. They didn't even ask why i was coming in early.

The person who dealt with me was very nice and welcoming.

July 3rd    : At 11AM received an email saying your case status has changed to interview is scheduled for August 2nd which is during my birthday week...

I hope i get the birthday present that i am hoping for LOL...

I was kind of getting a little worried about seeing no change in status since fingerprint fee received and no updates especially on the EAD and AP because my sister is getting married on September 2nd and i really wanted to have my AP to go back home for it... Guess now i wont have to worry about traveling on AP but now i have to worry about getting green card in hand before i travel and that all depends on the interview going well and getting no RFEs... I am an F1 overstay...

just your typical immigrant LOL!!!

Did it go to ready for interview at all or just straight to a date scheduled? That seems super fast for an interview! Any EAD/AP as of yet?

that's what surprised me too... just went straight to interview scheduled for August 2nd, that would mean exactly 70 days from PD to interview and i still got 31 days to go...

no news on EAD/AP yet and I was actually worrying about it because i have to leave for home at the end of August for my sister's wedding and was thinking about filing an SR as soon as it had been 75 days and that would have been on August 7th lol... Just hoping and praying that everything goes smoothly coz I did the filing all by myself and was worried about RFEs, so might have sent in too much stuff... fingers crossed...

Congrats!! Can you post your timeline :)

Thanks! I can post a short version of my timeline (longer one after I return from work):

May 19th filed AOS/EAD/AP
May 22nd Delivered at Chicago Lockbox

May 30th NOA1 for AOS/EAD/AP

Biometrics letter in the mail about a week later.

Walk-in to biometrics a day later.

Request to expedite EAD immediately, EAD received a week later. (After request to expedite they requested evidence, which I faxed, then 5 days later status changed to "card in production" and then 1 day later "case was received" and same day "card was mailed to me", received it about 2 day later).

:)

What are you adjusting status from, and when did you file and do biometrics?

Are there any K1 to AOS who filed in early May, did biometrics in early June, did not expedite EAD, and have heard anything back after biometrics?

Its really helpful to everyone on this site to fill out a timeline and keep it updated
