You can do it on their website, I did and discovered I had enough quarters worked to utilize the affidavit of support waiver. If get number is valid, you will see it there

Got word that my EAD/AP Card was mailed to me today. No tracking info or anything. But no rush now. All is well with the world.

Update: EAD/AP card was mailed to me today. The AP does not update on site but I got the NOA saying both were approved.

Ok, I did some research. There is a way to calculate it. You can only meet 4 quarters per year so it looks like you would have to work for at least 10 years to qualify. Then you need to earn a certain amount per quarter. I already know I didn't meet it because I've only worked in the US for a total of 6 years.

I don't think I know what I'm talking about. I have no idea but it would be great if we could just tell USCIS to destroy our I-864 and never look back (my husband still hasn't received his tax returns so I'm just waiting for the RFE)

Yes, it takes 10 years. Obtain a Social Security Statement from the website, logically speaking, if the SSN exists she should be able to work with it in concert with USCIS authorization

If she had a ssn before, that's the number she should use, it's for life. If she still has the card, great, if not she can request a new one. She will be able to use it to work when she gets her ead.

Atlast got my license also renewed for 3 months today after making the supervisor understand that my case is under process.

Oh awesome. Going to call SSN to confirm, if thats the case would be great cause assuming we could already use it for reporting credit and such while we wait.

 

Spoke to a rep yesterday, and she let us put in the expedite request... She asked for our receipt number and we gave her the 485, but she stated that we couldn't do that but to give her the receipt of the EAD and she would raise it there. Strangely enough(dunno how accurate this is, but she stated the EAD was still being processed even though the other was on hold for the RFE, maybe one of the RFE types that don't stop it or clerk was wrong.)

 

Anyway just waiting for the email now requesting more information or a denial - rep stated they would most likely email us. We haven't decided about waiting for congressman contact or not. She says wait, I say lets blitz... lol them. Guess will give them at least a full day to acknowledge the expedite request as its not updated online yet.

Biometrics done 2 hours ago. Just going to wait until Monday to request Expedite on my EAD
