So thats confirmed -

Is it confirm you need an actual job offer letter to expedite or can just expedite for the ability to get a job after biometrics is done?

My understanding is that an actual job offer is needed if claiming severe financial loss. It appears my job offer wasn't even considered because the expedite request was made without biometrics having been done.

So another update finally! After our initial rejection notice fiasco, we finally got our EAD and AP acceptance notices this morning!!!

Now we are just holding tight for what we assume will be the inevitable RFE for the AOS as they don't have my original I-864 as it was lost in the mail.  We will have delays, but at least we are moving forward!!!

For those of you who have done Biometrics, was your sponsor required to be there or were you able to go yourself. I don't have the luxury of a lot of time of, so if I am not required to go with Jon that would be best.

Thanks for any input!

I did biometrics yesterday. My husband just dropped me off at ASC and went to work (leaving me taking the train back lol). So he can go by himself and they do not need anything from the sponsor.

Hey friends who have done biometrics - is it true that we can walk in at a time other than our appointment time?

A friend told me that we could and I'd like to go at a date BEFORE our appointment (as I'll have to take time off and a different time would be more convenient...) Has anyone else done it before??

Thanks in advance yall!!

We went in to local office (San Jose) on 5/26 to request expedited processing of our AP. Officer sent a request to the processing center. They e-mailed us instructions just one business days later along with a fax number. On 6/7 the status was updated to "AP Document Was Produced".

As we were waiting for our appointment on 5/26, I asked if they could squeeze us in for Biometrics (scheduled for 5/31). No problem.

Biometrics on the 14th of June. Tried to go in for a walk in today. We were rejected must go on the date scheduled. It wasn't even crowded. Seems like a really quick process. Bummer, but we tried. This location is Houston-southwest.

I went today and it didn't work. I think it depends on location Worth the try, just prep for rejection. B

Can anyone calm me down? My AOS+EAD+AP was delivered to the Chicago lockbox via USPS on May 22nd and still no NOA1 (nor electronically) or nothing...!

Also I filed for SSN over two weeks ago and no news either.. What is happening???

I really need to start working since living in California is insanely expensive! Don't they know that?

Is there anything to do?

Ours was delivered to Chicago on May 18 and we just got sms/email notifications yesterday. So you might just have a few days for that.

As for SSN card ours took about 5 days but I know people who took 2 weeks to get theirs - maybe call the office to see if they sent it?
