I am expecting the biometrics any time next week and I was waiting since the begining of this week..I think its late

But I just knew that its possible to expedite the EAD process.

Do you have any ideas ?

I sent in a request to expedite my EAD along with my application packet. You can call USCIS and put in a service request using your I-765 NOA receipt number. Some people say you have to wait a certain number of days before they allow you to expedite, but it's worth the try. The guy on the phone just sent in the service request with no problems. I also had my USC spouse reach out to the congressman for their help too.  I emailed the ombudsman but they replied and told me because the application is within its processing time (90-120 days), they cannot help.

We received our notice for the biometrics appointment today!   Appointment date is June 9.

The office is over an hour away and I have to work so I can't bring him for the appointed time...how do walk-ins work, and should we take our chances when the office is so far away?

Thanks for any advice!

I'm glad it worked out for you!  Our appointment is at the East Hartford, CT application support center...their website specifically says they're by appointment only and to use the USCIS official channels for rescheduling appointments.  A lot of the accounts I've read on VJ about Hartford walk-ins are old, but it sounds like they don't like when people try to walk in.

Has anyone done a successful walk-in at this office recently?

I got my biometrics letter today!! 4 days after receiving the NOA in the mail. Progress! It is scheduled for June 7 but I am going on May 30 to attempt a walk-in. Can I go to any USCIS center to try a walk in or does it need to be the one on my letter? Anyone know?

I've just finished my Immigration journey and now it's time to petition for my mother. I filed I-130 and I-485 for her concurrently.

I've been following the ROC and the N-400 threads. They have created Timeline table to efficiently track each other's case. So I created this table to make it easier for us to follow.

I tried to remember as many events that had happened during my AOS process as possible. But of course things change so feel free to update.

I find it's best to update the table using Internet Explorer. All you do is just copy the table with the legend and paste it into the response box.

And if you can't do it, just leave your information here and tag my username along, I'll update at my earliest convenience.

Note: This table is only applicable to those who are applying for a Green Card either solely file for I-485 or concurrently file for I-130 and I-485.
