Congratulations! Isn’t it a relief when the wait is finally over!? I know though that the relief won’t let hit until that card is in your hands..

Ours took less than a week to arrive so fingers crossed yours is in your mailbox within a week!

I guess the real relief would be the green card. Who would think the green card interview will take over 15 months?

It is! When I saw the Ombudsmen email I was still very pessimistic until I saw the congress mans email as well. I want to be at 100% so want that card in our hands like you said haha.

After that, they can just delay our interview until next year so we don't have to worry about conditions on her green card.

How long did it take to ask the obdusman get involved in it. Our AP is expiring next month and still did not get the card yet. Also looks like the interview is gonna take more time too.

Their office was super quick! Replied about 4 days after we submitted the request online with the documentation. We updated it with some additional documentation a week later and heard back about 1.5 weeks after that. Our situation did change from just traveling for a wedding to a 'oh, your not coming anymore? You need to get here before you get fined by the government for what your business has been doing behind your back' situation.

I imagine if we didn't find out about that we probably would not of gotten help but once we had the communications from her board members and attorney's mentioning those details I think they focused more on it.

Just an update on us -

We got our actual AP, whew! Just 20 days before we leave. Not as close as some but enough to make us worried.

Anyone have experience with changing addresses? Can you do it all online?  Turns out we'll be moving next month now as well. Not that we expect any updates but just in case.

So my journey is finally over (for the next 2 years at least). Had my interview 30 minutes ago.

He didn't ask me or my wife LITERALLY a question. None. He only asked me to write on one of the forms my stepsons name and date of birth and he asked my stepson (age 7) if i was his stepdad and if he loved me and who took him to school everyday. That was it.

He said everything seemed good and that probably he would review our case this afternoon and let us know. 20 minutes later got a text and email saying card being produced.

Thank God and good luck to everyone, you're almost at the end.

Congratulations!! Does the 2 year removal start now for you?  I am kind of hoping they just delay our interview until May now so we can get a card without conditions. we're only 9 months away from 2 years, would rather just wait 9 more months than start that clock over.

It took about a week for the initial email back. I am thinking we will get our interview by next May just so we end up having to restart the 2 year period again.

Not to crush your dreams but that is highly unlikely. USCIS ain't about to lose collecting their fee again in another 2 years lol. I was 6 months away from 2 years anniversary , hoping the same as you, didn't happen lol

Yea I am expecting it to happen in April actually and only be a month away. However Dallas has hung from 14-27 months processing time as well. It just recently went down 17 to 21 months. Working hard to keep it under 24.

I wouldn't even mind paying both fees if we could just skip the 2 year time period and just not have to worry about time lines. I started looking into it and so confused. Its 2 years for removal of conditions then 3 years for citizenship right? Tired of messing with travel Visa's for her when I don't need to.

I had to change our address also.  You can do it online for the I-485 form but the sponsor also has to complete a form and mail it in.  I think it’s called an I-865.  We got a mailed confirmation letter when we sent in the I-865, but the other confirmations were only made online as case status updates.  So now I’m a little paranoid we might still get the interview letter sent to our old address.  I’m going to call and confirm.

Awesome, I hope you have a wonderful trip. I think it would be better you call them after you done changing your address online, just to be sure it has been updated.

373 days in and I'm still waiting for the Dallas, TX office, last update was August 2017 and February 2018 both saying 'Interview is being scheduled'

Sent in renewal 40 days ago for my EAD, as that's due to expire August.

Here's to hoping something soon updates!

Hey any update on your interview yet?

I have applied for renewal  June 13 and still no luck for getting the renewal. I have tried to get in touch with ombusman and cogressman. But still nothing. The hard part is that my wife she needs medical attention. In my home country, it is totally free and in the USA is no so.

It takes 5 to 7 months to get a renewal of AP.

I wish! Lol.

Still waiting. I've got EAD until next July as I got the renewal, so just patiently hanging on

The journey is finally over, until another 2 years when we embark on the ROC journey. We got our (both, child and mother) green cards approval on the 23rd Aug update online, got the welcome to America letters in the mail, card in production and card has been mailed update on the USCIS case status online.

Hoping to receive our cards in the mail soon💃

Good luck to everyone still waiting (especially to my fellow Texans, its taking forever to have interviews scheduled), may it end in joy for you all.
