Thanks for your reply blister9. I guess at this point in time all we can do is contact the lockbox and wait for them to respond. I'll shoot them an email right now and see what develops. Please keep me updated if they respond you, I'll definitely do the same from my end when they do. Good luck, hopefully is not much longer.

@MandyAlex  We just received the acceptance confirmation emails and the sms for all four documents. I guess after emailing to the lockbox sped things up.

Hopefully you will get yours soon too. Good luck.

Chiming in late here...

We sent our packet to Chicago May 3 and it was delivered May 5 and still nothing.... check hasn't been cashed and no NOA. Hoping to god there wasn't a mistake or something on our part :(

I don't know if that would actually make you feel better, but I sent mine on May 1st via USPS, it was delivered to the P.O. Box on the 4th and I have not yet received any notifications whatsoever, check has not been cashed either... A lot of people say that 2-3 weeks can be a normal waiting period, but it's kind of hard to not freak out when you see so many peoople getting their NOAs so fast... I'm thinking of emailing/calling them, but it looks like at this point we're just gonna have to wait for the 30 days to be over, so that we can take further action...

Hello.

Thanks for reading

My I-94 will expire 13th of june, I sent out the aos package the 11th from Waco,TX to Chicago,IL was received the 15th

today is the 23rd and no sign at all, no text no mail.

We went to change my name in my SS card. An employee there told us that I need a special stamp from DHS  before I get deported on the 14th (or cumulate overstay) I was shocked for not hearing that before?

She made very worried. And had to file the aos at the same day even though we didn't have the money we had to borrow it. Now Im shocked by looking at the uscis website that there is specific dates and deadlines to file any aos.

Can somebody tell me this delay is normal?

sincerely another paranoid aos filer lol.

hi! you don't need to worry about it. i was also told that when i went to SS and have my name changed. that i need to have it stamped etc....so what i did, i went to the local field uscis office here in Reno and asked regarding it...and they said, as long as you got married within 90 days(if you came thru k1 visa), you are good. there's no deadline when to file for aos, but the downside of it all is that youre not gonna be able to work, have DL if you file later.. hope this made you feel better:)

it was a good thing i applied for SSN and State ID within a month of my arrival...i was able to use that for opening accounts here and for other ID purposes...though my state id is expired already(expiry is based on i-94)

If you are here on a K1, your only requirement is to be married within 90 days.  You can file for AOS anytime as long as you got married within the 90.  My wife's i94 expired the day after we mailed our AOS packet.  If you wait more than a year to file, then you have to get vaccinated again and do the civil surgeon form.  Of course, when your i94 expires, you have no status, but as long as you got married within 90 days you're still good to apply for AOS.  Once you receive NOA1 you are pending status and no longer out of status, as I understand.

We also couldnt get SS name change because we waited too long.  We applied for AOS, EAD, and AP under the new married name.  We plan to go back to SS office once we have our EAD in hand

Hello everyone.

My USC spouse and I are about to submit our Concurrent Filling package (I-130, I-485, I-864, I-765 & I-131) within the next couple of days.  However my I-693 form won't be completed until June 2.  The Civil Surgeon where I have done my medical exam is only available on that day.  My I-94 expires the next day, June 3.   :(

HELP! Should we submit the whole package without the I-693 (wait for RFE to submit) or wait until June 2 to submit the COMPLETE package?
