Your interview was pretty quick, on the website it says that they are processing cases for of January 17 for Hartford

What does that mean though?  That they are literally a year behind for case processing after the interview?

I think it's a bit deceiving to word it that way.  It usually means that that's the date of the earliest case they're working on.  So they don't have any more cases from December 2016, there might be a few complicated cases from January 2017 that they're still processing, but they've also clearly moved on to later cases because our May 2017 case has already been processed.

I decided to call the USCIS today to find out which field office our case is at considering we have heard absolutely nothing in 243 days. Not even an update saying our case is ready to be scheduled for interview - which I expected having read previous comments here... Turns out our local office is working on JULY cases. Err.. what happened to OUR case which was filed in MAY!? So of course a service request has been filed for out of processing times.. Now another 30 day wait. As you can imagine I am already miffed about having been completely overlooked so to have to wait another 30 days to receive a letter telling me what I already know and that there IS no update.. has me spitting feathers. This system is so disorganized and unfair. Now I am worried that we have an RFE despite providing every shred of information and evidence we had, AND that they have just not bothered to tell me and instead have waited to see how long they can sit on it before they can just throw the case out ‘because I didn’t provide what they asked for’ (but actually didn’t).

Has anyone else here had/got a case at the Montgomery, AL office?

I am so frustrated :(

I've spoken to a supervisor as early as Friday January 19th and my PD is April 10 2017. As of September 1st, my case is waiting for an interview slot to open up in Montgomery. The status is not updated on their site and I was told it won't always update on the site.  He was saying it maybe March before interview.

I had my interview yesterday. It was really quick and we were asked no personal questions. I included so much evidence with my application that the IO actually told me to keep my supplemented evidence lol. We were not approved on the spot but I was given info about what to do when I receive my GC and about the 2 year restrictions. I still have no update online.

hey all,

I'm sending out my AOS package soon. Did any of you decide to not send the I-693 (medical examination), and wait to take it to interview? If so, has anyone actually got a RFE for not sending in the medical with the package? I don't want it to expire, so would rather wait to take it to interview. However, I don't want to risk an RFE and risk delaying my EAD/AP!
