Yes thats right. This is bullshit. 7 years ago when I got my green card after the fingerprints it only took 1 month to get the work permit. This is BS. We are married legit. Marriage is legit and we already approved that at the embassy. They are just idiots. He is a moron. There are millions of jobs out there and this country built on immigrants. I can believe this BS.

Atlast after 115 days my ead status changed to card is being produced no chamge in i131. And i dont care as i dont want to travel. Will wait to get my hands on card and get back to work.

Definitely frustrating. I was lucky enough to have a work permit under DACA, but the wait is brutal and can cause severe financial strains on families who are waiting on that EAD. Best of luck to the remaining filers who are still waiting. My thoughts are with you all.

Well guys i'm back again this time with great news

On September 6th i got and update on my I-485 that i'm ready to be scheduled for the interview

and yesterday September 18th my 1-765 updated to card being produced.

i couldn't be more thankful right now.

Here's my updated time line

 

Sent ASOS package I-130, i-130A, i-485, i-765, i-693, i-864, G-325A, G-11435 04/25/2017

Packaged delivered to USCIS Chicago Lock box 04/27/2017

Checks cashed 04/28/2017

SMS/Email NOA recieved 05/02/2017

NOA in the mail 05/08/2017

Biometrics appointment letter in the mail 08/21/17

Biometrics appointment 08/31/17

i485 ready to be scheduled for interview 09/06/17

i765 card in production 09/18/17

We haven't gotten an approval notice yet, but so happy you finally heard back.  Here's hoping we hear back soon.

 

Our congresswoman's office has assigned our case to a case manager, so hopefully that will help things move along for both EAD/AP and AOS...

Fingers crossed you get yours today! They can't possibly hold you out any longer... Really crossing my fingers for you, I know how utterly frustrating it is and how despairing you probably feel right now..

My approval only showed for EAD but I'm hoping it's the combo card just in case..

My EAD card came without the AP endorsement. I guess someone at the National Benefits Center didn't do their job right. I tried calling in a few times over the last 2 weeks and had no luck getting an answer on when to expect adjudication for that. I contacted my congresswoman on Friday and the case manager said they would work on it. Hopefully that gets the wheels moving on AP. I didn't think I'd need it, but I may end up having to use it to say my goodbyes to one of my family members in Mexico.

None yet, but the EAD is the one we needed most so we're not as anxious about the rest. Seems our local field office is relatively speedy so hopefully we will get an update soon.

I'm sorry to hear about your sad news - if you do need to visit for that reason, I would have thought that would be reason enough for the AP to be expedited. I hope you get some answers soon!

Mine is stuck in "ready to be scheduled for an interview" more than 2,5 months by today.

But you are right. At least we got EAD. Looking for a job can distract from waiting.

Today was our interview appointment at 08:50 am.

We arrived 08:20 at the office. 

i was really nervous...

we were sitting in the waiting room when a officer came at 08:45 and asked if we can start earlier. 

He was around 35 years.

we went to his office and he said we should stand up for the oath that we will tell the truth.

he wanted to see my passport and my husbands ID. 

i had everything in a folder with post-its and he was impressed and said it's good that i'm so organized. than i gave my fingerprints.

after that we, chatted about the weather bc it was raining really bad. 

He asked me about my full name, date of birth and where i was born. 

He wanted to know If this is the first marriage for us and i said yes and the last. 

We all laughed.

than he read my address and asked if this is correct and if i lived somewhere else before in the US. 

After that he asked all the yes/no question on the form (those are the ones like 'have you ever killed somebody?')

after that he asked how and when we met and how many times i visited the US after we met.

How the wedding was and if we made any trips inside the US. 

he wanted to see support evidence ( we had life insurance, health care, car insurance, power bill, internet bill) and asked if he could keep them.

i asked him if he wants to see pictures or something else but he said no and that he has enough proof.

than he said everything looks good and he will double check all papers again and normally during the day my case is approved and my greencard will arrive in 4-6 weeks or earlier. 

if not he will send us a letter with the papers they need but he said it looks really good and we should not worry.

at the end he printed papers and explained how to apply for the 10 years green card in 2 years. 

 

after 25 minutes we left his office.

 

it was more like an nice conversation than an interview an the officer was really nice.
