Hello my dear friends!

So the interview was today And I'd like to share how  it went.  Appointment was at 1430H but, we weren't called about an hour after.

Interview with the IO was smooth. First, my husband and i took oath. He asked for my fullname, birthdate, employment status and present address. Told him we moved to a new address but preferred the GC to be mailed to the previous address( so its possible, you just have to indicate a change in physical address but mailing address remains the same). Then he turned to ask my husband his fullname, birthdate and employment status. He asked us if we have any documents to add to our case. So, we gave him photos of the wedding, recent family events we attended and random photos taken at our place. And also documents which we both had our names on it. After that, he then told us that we'll be receiving the conditional GC since the marriage is less than 2 years. He also reminded us about what documents to prepare for filing ROC. The interview took less than 15 min. Few minutes after we got out the building, i received sms/email that my card is in production.

I can still remember how i got stressed out about the biometrics appointment

To everyone who helped, thank you so much. At least for now, we get to have that long time out with USCIS.  Time to get DL and a job. Or perhaps a vacation..lol

Before i forget, about the SSN. Do we need to update them? Thanks!

Hope everyone is getting positive results.

Congratulations. I wish I am you right now LOL:D

Our PD is 5/15/17.  It's hard seeing people with priority dates several weeks after us getting their cards when we don't even know if our SR's have been assigned, much less if his card is being produced.

Best of luck to you.

I know its frustrating, my EAD was approved and here we are still calling and begging USCIS to approve my child's EAD with PD of 05/18 with 2 SRs. And I see people with later PDs getting approval. But as we all know no two cases are the same and it all depends on the IO handling the case, all we can do is be patient and keep hoping it comes soon.

Also @OBGYNKENOBI - if you already have a SSN and card, you shouldn't need to update that, unless you want to change your last name on it because it still has your maiden name

Absolutely second that sentiment!

The trouble is (and this is where the Tier 2 got attitude with me when I asked that very question), they send the cases to other offices to ease the workload. Funny thing is they just dump MORE work on already overloaded offices, like Lee's Summit MO for example, which is where my paperwork is at.

Check your email response to the service request for a sending address to see which office it is at  - that's how I found out. Then I went by somebody who's case was at the Kansas City office and how long theirs took. 127 days. So we are at 122 days today and hoping it is a case of any day now.

It is incredibly frustrating seeing people who applied in JULY getting approvals but it is literally pot luck as to which office your paperwork is at.

I saw somebody get an approval after 104 days and I still felt deflated. It's just unreasonable and unfair.

Yeah, ours got sent to Lee's Summit, too.  Fingers crossed we'll both hear back soon.  It is very unfair and makes us feel so powerless!  We're on 125 days as of today so here's hoping...

August 20, 2016 ----> May 5, 2021

1,720 days ----> 4 years, 8 months, and 16 days

DONE with our visa journey and USCIS!

I wonder what the deciding factor is for where they send cases.. At least we (hopefully) know that whichever one of us gets approved the other should be next!

I got it wrong before - we're 124 days today. Fingers crossed next week is our week..

Just checked USCIS and it shows my wife's card is being produced.  It only states that on the work authorization number and has not updated the travel number.  I should receive a combo card correct?

My wife's AP never updated on the USCIS website, only her EAD, and she received a combo card.
