Wow yours is 122 days or 4 months, why is it taking so long? Their processing time supposedly is 90 days, which has double in the last 3 or 4 years.

I've read somewhere on visajourney that if EAD is pending too long (more than 130 days) it's possible to get a stamp in your passport which allows you to work. Might be wrong.

Still patiently waiting...feeling bad for my wife. Our NOA on the letter was 05/06 but on the website it says they received it 05/01. She has her biometric appointment on 05/31. On our second sr and waiting for the second one to be assigned(by 09/06), the first one only said case still under review.

Just found out on the website that due to the hurricane in Texas those living in the affected areas could:

"Expedited adjudication of employment authorization applications, where appropriate."

We live in Houston, I will try calling the number provided. If anyone else is also living in the area it might be worth trying.

So small update. I had put in an SR because I hadn't received any update over 60 days after sending in a response to the RFE. I received a letter from my local field office (Baltimore) so it looks like my application is out of the review phase and at the scheduling phase. I guess they didn't notice I had forgotten to send in my husband's tax returns. Oh, well. I sent them in anyway just in case. Now for waiting for an interview. Here is the letter I received:

We're at 112 days since PD without word still.  It's been 26 days since we submitted our first SR and we were supposed to hear back August 30 but nothing yet, it hasn't even been assigned for processing.

We're both having a hard time lately and this is just making everything worse, feeling very discouraged and generally icky.  Hope we hear back soon :/

Looks like Baltimore is a very sow office, and that is why your update still shows RFE information and not "Case is ready to be scheduled"

April 26 2017: Package sent to USCIS Chicago Lockbox
April 27 2017: Package received by USCIS
May 8 2017: NOA1 Received by Emails and Texts
May 9 2017: Checks Cashed by USCIS

They received my application on 15th May, 2 SRs, one response so far and no sign whatsoever of my card.. day 110 today. Tuesday I will be calling them AGAIN and asking for a Tier 2 officer. My patience has just about run out..

Hi Kitu

My case is basically the same timeline as yours filing on May 15th at MSC, I have put in a 3rd SR but still no response, have you heard anything on your end about your EAD or anything about ready to be scheduled for interview?

Posted (edited)

To all those still awaiting EADs and APs, hang in there, the number of days you have to wait before you get approval for it is less than the days you have spent waiting...so thats an indication that you're almost there.

And to those that got a response 'case under review' for their SR, that is the response most fillers got too and few days after we got "new card being produced'... All the best.(F)

***My child's PD for EAD is may 18, SR was completed on Aug 29, same response, so hopefully this week we get good news***

I know how frustrating this is and the stress it puts on the family.  This week will be your week for good news!

My PD is 05/24 and its day 105 today. No response at my end as well. Its not specified anywhere, but from what we're experiencing, I think the "60 to 90" day count period is only business days. Hope we get our EAD's soon - can't wait to start working!

I got a response to my first SR 32 days after I raised it.. It just said that my case has been assigned and is under review. The second SR hasn't had a response yet..

No other news on the EAD front or anything about being ready to be scheduled for interview. I think Atlanta is my closest field office and that seems to be relatively quick when it comes to interviews as far as I can tell.. Who knows!

I had hoped to see the status change at the weekend when we hit 110 but now we're on day 113 and still waiting.

What annoys me most is seeing people who have NOA dates after us, no expediting, and yet have had theirs approved. They say they approve them in order of receipt but somehow I beg to differ..
