New job - worried about income requirements

We are currently finishing up our AOS paperwork. We had a co-sponsor when we filed the K-1 Visa, because I was in school and not making enough money to sponsor him myself...now, after graduating this past July with my bachelor's in nursing, I do make enough to be the sole sponsor.

Here is the problem, I have only been working since I graduated...so work history is kind of sparse. Do you think it'll be a problem if I file as sole sponsor? My husband's cousin, who was the co-sponsor, is currently sponsoring his own fiance into the states, so I don't want to ask him again...I was just concerned.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

As long as you meet the poverty guidelines, you should be fine. Good luck-

As long as you're able to prove how much you are currently making and that it is a permanent job (not temporary) you should be okay. Include with your I-864 a copy of a signed letter from your employer detailing start date, nature of employment (permanent or temporary), salary, etc.

I was a student for 2004 and 2003, so my 2005 and 2004 tax returns were pretty pitiful! I think as long as you show that now you are through with school and have a job that you will be able to support your husband until he's able to work, you should be just fine.
