when I go to the uscis site to change my address there is an option for the i751 but not the cri89. but the receipt number for the i751 does not work for looking up case status only the cri 89 one does. which way do I fill out the form?

1

use i751 tab but fill in cri 89 number

2

use i751 tab and use i751 number

3

do both 1 and 2

I used I751 tab and it allowed me to enter the EAC number from the initial NOA letter.

Then I received a confirmation email, about 2 weeks later, they sent me the postal mail about the change of address.

Ever since then, I had an RFE delivered to my new address.

Hi,

Is your new address in same USCIS office jurisdiction to which you sent your I-751 initially? If not then did they transfer your case to different USICS office of your new address after your notified for change of address?

Yes. It is still in the same jurisdiction. I literally moved about 2 miles away.

Hello,

Quick question. When you did the online address change, did you fill out the "mailing address part?" I don't know if I clicked "same as new address" box.. I did get a confirmation email for the address change though..

Thank you. Hopefully I did too.. and even if I didn't, hopefully it was changed successfully! I confirmed multiple times at the infopass that the address change was made.. but then for some reason, our old address is still "on file" as well. I just hope the uscis does not send anything to the wrong address.

Somebody posted yesterday that they had an InfoPass (for something else, I think, but) they got the officer to "put a flag on the file" just to remind whoever was dealing with their I-751 to pay attention to the new address and (as a result) the new "local field office". Make sure, if you call, to get their assurances that they have also put a flag on your file to draw attention to your new address.
