Can they reject me or just send an RFE?

I sent our package this morning and did not know about the new form. I read some are getting through some are not. If it isn't will they do an RFE or will it be a flat our rejection? Will I have to pay another fee? I am so upset right now I do not know what to do..

Sorry to double post I just do not understand how it is legal to say on the website that they will accept them, then reject it and take your money. Completely illegal in my opinion...

If they reject the petition (whether for old/wrong form, or incomplete paperwork), they do not take the money they return the check/money order with the rejected petition. So if returned to you, your just correct the issues and resend with payment.

 

If you get an RFE then they accepted your petition originally and have filed it, now just asking for further information.

08/15/2014 : Met Online

06/30/2016 : I-129F Packet Sent

11/08/2016 : Interview - APPROVED!

11/23/2016 : POE - Dallas, Texas

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

 

02/03/2017 - Married 

02/24/2017 - AOS packet sent

06/01/2017 - EAD/AP Combo Card Received in mail

12/06/2017 - I-485 Approved

12/14/2017 - Green Card Received in mail - No Interview

They sent me the text/email that they received it, but also deposited the check. I haven't gotten a NOA1 yet but they said they went it to the California center. Some people said they might take the money?
