Hi everyone - my spouse and I sent the N-400 application packet to USCIS on April 15, and I've been using the US Postal Service certified number to track it.

Unfortunately the USPS site says the package is "In Transit, Delayed" - and it's been stuck with this status since April 19.

Has anyone else had issues with their applications being delayed or lost in the mail? How long did you wait? I'm wondering when I should print another copy of the application and send it by FedEx or UPS this time.

Thank you!

Thank you!

This happened to my wife and I when we mailed her N400 in February. As soon as I saw it was delayed, I opened a claim at USPS https://www.usps.com/help/claims.htm

You can also call them at 1-800-275-8777. When I called, they said we were within the time frame of delivery (10 days). I was frustrated by the phone call but about 30 minutes later, our tracking status changed to "Delivered." A couple hours after that, a USPS rep. actually called me back to say it was delivered to USCIS. I'm not sure if this was all a coincidence and the package would have been delivered that day anyway, but I certainly don't think it could hurt by opening a claim. Good luck!
