HELLO ALL,

I was just wondering if anyone out here has applied for Citizenship at Nebraska.If You can share the timeline that you have experienced ,I would appretiate it.I will be eligible to apply in Nov 2007,so just wanted to guesstimate the time it will take for me .

Consulate : New Delhi, India

Marriage : Dec 15th 2006

I-130 Sent : Jan 05 2007

I-130 NOA1 : Jan 18 2007

I-129F Sent : Jan 18 2007

I-129F NOA1 : Jan 29 2007

Feb 12 2007 - Case transferred to CSC from Missouri

Feb 22 2007 - Case received at CSC and pending

I-130 NOA2 : Apr 12 2007

I-129 NOA2 : Apr 12 2007

NVC Received: May 04 2007 (took three weeks)

NVC Left: May 09 2007

Consulate received: May 15 2007

Never received Packet 3

Packet 3 sent: June 7th 2007

Packet 3 received at Delhi: June 10th 2007

Interview Scheduled for: July 27th 2007 (On My B'Day)

Packet 4 received: June 27th 2007

Medical done in Delhi: July 6th 2007

Paper's submitted to VFS: July 9th 2007

May - Met future wife at arts fest

Nov - Recieved 6th TN

2003

Nov - Recieved 7th TN

Jul - Our Wedding

Aug - Filed for AOS

Sep - Recieved EAD

Sep - Recieved Advanced Parole

2004

Jan - Interview, accepted for Green Card

Feb - Green Card Arrived in mail

2005

Oct - I-751 sent off

2006

Jan - 10 year Green Card accepted

Mar - 10 year Green Card arrived

Oct - Filed N-400 for Naturalization

Nov - Biometrics done

Nov - Just recieved Naturalization Interview date for Jan.

2007

Jan - Naturalization Interview Completed

Feb - Oath Letter recieved

Feb - Oath Ceremony

Feb 21 - Finally a US CITIZEN (yay)

03/30/11 - N-400 sent via Priority Mail w/ delivery confirmation

05/12/11 - Biometrics

07/20/11 - Interview - passed

07/20/11 - Oath ceremony - same day as interview

Actually the NSC has nothing to do with Citizenship.. it's really more of a holding place for your DO... where they cash your check, input your data and hold onto your A file until the DO wants to hold your interview...

It's your specific DO that runs the timing of when your Citizenship case will be heard...

Anyone who wants to know *about* how long their own N-400 case should watch the processing times *over a period of time* for their own Local Office.

All offices have a goal of six months from application to interview.

I have just sent in the application today. Zyggy is right, we have to check the timeline with our local office but even then it's accurate either. My local office is Seattle, they says they are working on the cases that has been recieved in August 2006, but I saw one Seattlite who sent in her application in October 2006 and got her citizenship in January. So, I think I'm pretty lucky that I could be a citizen in 4 months. :jest: or at least I wish.

My interview is coming up next week.So the total waiting took 3 month and we'll see how long will i aupposed to wait till the Oath Ceremony.
