As you can see by my signature Timeline, I went to Buxton to get my fiancee home. We arrive in Tampa this morning at 2am.

The biggest hurdle was the fact that we had five checked bags between two of us, all overweight weighing between 55-60 lbs.

We arrived at Heathrow Airport way too early, 3am for a 9am flight. The young man that opened the British Airways check in line took pity on us and did not charge for the extra bag. We had tried to purchase extra baggage on the www.ba.com site, but the uotbound leg was greyed ut for us, later we would realise what a saving we made here.

We had gon online and chosen row 53 on a Jumbo jet (flightt Ba117) as it only had two seats to the window row. It had been almost twenty tyears since I had been on a Jumbo, (747) thi one had just been updated with whizbang inflight entertainement (like virgin, and 777 airplanes) unfortunately it didnt work properly, some of us couldnt watch anything.

At JFK,(landed at noon) my fiancee was made to join the other Passports line, I joine her and wated while they processed a full 747 (400 people?). I finally went anf found a porter to handle the five checked bags and three unchecked(laptop) while my fiancee was processed.

I had briefed her what to ask for and she only got the EAD stamp because she asked for it. Then she had to rush back in and get her own customs form which he had kept. This whole process took 15-20 minutes.

Now the next hurdle, get over to Newark airport for a flight down to Tampa (previously purcased tickets).

At ground transportation we were set up wit "Olympic ?????" who transfereed us for $24 each, andd waived the $24 extra bag charge.

Now at Newark I was hit with a fee for $80 for the extra bag, and it could have been a lot more as the bags were over their 50 lb limit.

It was now 2:30pm I made my way to the Presidents lounge and treated ourselves to five hours in the lounge ($45 each) it was well worth it to get away from all that hustle and bustle, drink all we wanted and eat cheese and crackers at no extra charge, even have a shower which we needed at this time.

We finally landed at Tampa @ midnight, got home and went to bed at 1:30 am this morning, she is still asleep.

In an hours time we are off to get the marriage liscence, suit, and the rings

08/03/10. Check cashed.
08/06/10 NOA letter received, but "Request for evidence" showing on the status website.
08/08/10 NOA #2. Biometrics appointment letter. Scheduled for 08/31/10
08/09/10 Biometrics completed. Walk in.
11/01/10 Touched. Transferred to local (Tampa) office
12/06/10 Interview . Passed
01/11/11 Oath ceremony

01-20-2008 Received visa via Delbros (Found out the delay had to do with my request for expidte, info still needed to be input at the NVC level so held it up for a few weeks)
