DS-260 previous addresses

I'm preparing my previous addresses for the DS-260. I went to the Netherlands and Germany for 3 months/each for school ten years ago. I was able to track down the addresses but wanted to know if these should be mentioned as I was not a resident there. If I look at my information in the system in my country, it has no record of me being anywhere else. Also not being in the States as an exchange student in 2000 either. But that was a longer period of time that I also had a visa for so I'm definitely going to write that down. 

 

How about Germany and the Netherlands?

Your passport will show you travelling to these locations for a long period of time then returning, is that correct?  I was no a resident in canada, I was on a working visa, yet I included these addresses.  Likewise I was in australia for 6 years and included those addresses.  Bear in mind that on the off chance they look through your passport and it shows you living at a local address when you're overseas, they may question it. 

However, if it was just a holiday that's different. For example I spent a month in europe.... so I didn't include all the airBnB and hotels.

If I remember correctly, you are only supposed to include the addresses of places you LIVED at for MORE than 6 months.

You going to Europe for a language course for 3 months is not the same as actually living there. Also, it is less than 6 months. I don't think you need to include that.

agreed on the no gaps. I had a gap of 3 days and got an error message.

Thank you for your comments though I'm still not sure what to do.

 

My passport doesn't have any record of these as I was within European Union. There are no gaps even if my addresses are printed out from our national record. BUT these were not holiday trips but for school. Didn't stay on campus but paid rent for the 3 months I was in each location.

Maybe it's still best to include them?

 

Is the Police Check required if you have been in one country for over 6months or away from your own country for 6months all together? As these two places probably have no record of me being there as I was not a resident there.

more than 6 months in each country I believe.  I was over a year in all mine so I didnt have to tackle that question. However I would be 99% certain you wouldn't need them.
