NEW i129f and arrest records?

I just started to fill out the i129f again and i noticed it needs arrest records now! So if i was arrested for assault and battery by the police when my mom called them because i was drunk and they saw me shove my mom, and ultimately got dropped in court, does that mean i need to get the police records and court records showing if it was dropped? Does this "assault and battery" qualify as domestic assault? this was the only time in my life i got arrested and it was three years ago. WIll this affect the k1 decision btw, having a record that was ultimately dropped?

I tried google searching this. It seems the laws are vary broad and may vary from state to state but in most states it's domestic if it's within your family or household unit so that would mean yes on that question. It says arrested OR convicted not AND convicted. 

 

You might want to find out from a lawyer where where you are the legal wording of your particular incident. Short of that, I would answer yes and get the papers showing it was dismissed.

They're going to run a background check anyway and these types of records are sure to come up. So I think the safer option is checking "Yes" and providing the evidence that it was dismissed. They can review that and determine if it's an issue or not. Checking "No" is a harder explanation IMHO.

should i just as well write a note explaning what happened to the USCIS or let the police records and court records do the talking?
