Bringing father of child from Mexico for birth

I am currently 7.5 months pregnant. The father of my child lives in mexico and is unable to cross. What is the likelihood that he'd be able to get a temporary visitor visa just to visit for the birth? What would be the timeframe and price as well? 

I know for sure he would be able to prove ties to Mexico and he has no intention of staying in the us after because seeing each other isn't that difficult and we plan on getting married and having him come legally in the future.

Just have him apply for the tourist visa. No one will tell you for sure what's going to happen.

Imo, the chances are pretty small.

And since you have a child, plan on getting married and live in the US there is already an intent to stay there. So his ties to Mexico must be stronger than that. Also, don't think to have him lie on the interview about the purpose of his visit.

Imo, better invest in the K1 visa (if you're a citizen)

It's still a very unfortunate choice of word here.

Back to OP's ques.. father-to-be applies for a B2 tourist visa. He should start the process now to be able to have a decision within 1.5 mos.

Tourist VISA is your only option for now. But he has to state the reason to enter the U.S , and be honest about it.

Once he says he is visiting his pregnant girlfriend it might make the process more difficult.

it's not a sure denial just because you're there, but having strong ties in the U.S can complicate things.

He should try anyway, and bring all the paperwork: proof of income/work, properties, any  solid ties

to Mexico. The question about going the legal route in the future might come up.

I feel there's more to your story. You're in a relationship, you're about to have a baby, you're talking about marriage but neither of you want him to stay in the US with you and his newborn child?!?!?! Anyway, whatever ties he has to Mexico is not gonna be stronger than a girlfriend and newborn baby in the US. With that said, there's no harm in applying for a tourist visa.

Slim to nonexistent, depending on the CO.

 

Applying would be the only way to find out for sure.
