Passport Question

Quick, maybe weird question. When my fiance moves to the US will his UK passport still be good or will he have to get a new one at that time. His is due to expire at the end of the year and we don't know if we should be updating it or not?

I still use my British passport and my American one. Do you mean a different version of a British passport?  

It will be his only form of photo ID for awhile after he enters the US. It is required for most immigration related processes so needs to not be expired. 

 

Note what London says under documents needed for the visa interview:

The passport must be valid for travel to the United States and must have at least eight months validity from the date on which the visa is issued.

Will it expire once he has moved to America? My British Passport expired in January, I applied here https://www.gov.uk/overseas-passports   and had my UK passport delivered to me in America 7 days later.... It was super fast!

Judging by your timeline, you haven't had a visa interview yet. The passport must have at least eight months of validity left on it to be accepted. I'd get on that as soon as possible, then his passport will have many years of validity.
