NVC Expedite process info and help

Hello I have a couple of questions in regard to the nvc expedite request process.

First off let me start by saying that I am inquiring about this now just so I have options. As of now my case is still waiting for (hopeful) approval by the uscis. They recieved the case on October 24th of 2016. It has been nearly 6 months so I am hoping that it will be approved any day now.

My question is if I should expedite as soon as I receive my case number from NVC or how does it work? And how long will it take? I need as many details and examples as possible.

My reasons for expediting are mainly extreme financial hardship. First off it is extremely hard for me financially doing this whole process practically on my own. My husband and his family (as well as my family) being from a rural part of Guatemala only earns enough money to sustain himself and his Mother, two younger sisters and his younger brother. People with families or people who are from a rural background know the situation I mean. So I am torn apart by payments of my own house and well being, payments to the lawyer (which I honestly regret hiring) that totaled to about $4500, also helping my husband and his family, my family and also recently having extensive dental work on both my husband and I. And on top of that saving up for our flights and all the money we will need to travel for when the interview takes place. (my car also keeps breaking down, but that is just ranting at that point lol).. So all of this I am handling alone, I do have occasional help from my mother and stepdad but it is in everyday things. Either way what I am trying to say is this is extreme for me, this also makes me stress out extremely and I get anxious and depressed. If my husband was here he would be working and he would take a huge load off of my shoulders. I don't know maybe I am wrong but I think that counts for at least trying to do an expedite request. I know I am not the only one that feels like they want this to be over and just wants to be with their spouse.. I just want help to see if this would even be possible. It is extremely stressing to me, and honestly I just can't take the pressure by myself anymore.

I would also go into explaining my extreme emotional hardship but for what, I think we all understand each other on this forum.

Also I would like to add that my husband suffers from a lot of medical issues as well, he has had and still has flare ups of gastritis and other stomach issues, also when he got dental work done it got infected. he just doesn't have a good immune system and I need to take care of him properly and I want him here to get proper medical care. He needs medicine, vitamins and a proper diet, things that unfortunately are not easily obtained there. I am sure that also counts a lot.. Also my mother in law needs a surgery to be able to remove cysts from her uterus but we cannot pay for it at the moment not with all this going on. If he were here we would be able to.

Sorry for the long post I feel like I have expressed a lot of personal things here but I did so, for you guys who will kindly answer to understand my situation and help me accordingly.. Also it would be awesome if someone can help word my request.

Thank you everyone in advance this site has helped me so much and is filled with wonderful people!

I don't mean to be a let down here, but my NOA1 is dated September 12. And I'm still waiting. Seven plus months in.

Good luck.

No not a let down at all, you actually answered another one of my questions. If this was a normal wait time. So thanks! And good luck to you too!
