I pretty much have all the documents covered except for the Medical Records from the GP. I have a pretty dusty record considering I never really go to the Doctors... Anyway, so I wanted to know how long it took for people to receive the document?

We didn't bring any medical records from his GP, other than a document with his immunization records on it.  He didn't have any type of medical/complication history.  If you do, then obtain those records from your GP which shouldn't take more than 2 - 4 weeks at most

After you have your medical at Knightsbridge, you will only receive Form I-693 (if I remember correctly) that shows the immunizations that you've received and had in the past.  All other documents Knightsbridge sends directly to the US Embassy prior to your interview.

Thanks!
I have a very clean history, No mental health or physical, don't take any medication, and etc. The only thing I've ever gotten was a bump to the head when I was a kid...

It's just I've heard a lot about how you need a patient summary, and some kind confirmation from the GP stating that your not a danger to yourself or others and etc.

I believe I can get the summary no problem, but my GP are real grumpy poops. I'm currently in the process of writing a letter to formally request for my patient summary, just not sure if I'm missing something.

A patient medical summary is a relatively new thing but should be easy to get - just a print out showing current diagnosis/treatment etc - if you don't have any it'll be a short page.

If you have no history of mental health issues you don't need anything stating you are no risk to yourself or others :)

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

So my case's status is "ready", and I finally gathered all my documents for the medical exam.

The only thing I've been wondering about is the letter from the NVC? I haven't received anything from the NVC, nor has my fiance.

I was going to bring copies of the NOA1 and NOA2, a screen shot of the ceac displaying my case's current status, and a screenshot of the DS160.

Would this suffice or should I wait/call the NVC?

I can't say if it will suffice or not - Our interview was during the terrorist attacks on London (the vehicles running people over, the stabbings, and Grenfell).  Security alerts where high and military where on the streets.  Not sure if this is why he needed that one particular document or NOT.

I called the NVC and request for them to mail it to me because the Embassy stated they would not allow anyone to enter without it.  This was a year ago this month, things could have changed.

I'll be posting a new thread of our Haunting of Knightsbridge that is still effecting us a year later! LOL

Not with a visa,  but the clinic will want to read what your GP has to say about it in medical terms over you telling them. Get him to write a short report about any surgeries...why, when, cured or still a problem, etc.

Hi folks

My husband is an American citizen and I’m British.

Just had my medical at Knightsbridge. Not the experience I was expecting.

simple medical; eye test, temperature check, inside mouth check ( visual only), blood pressure and heart sounding checks. A chest X-ray of lungs and a urine sample.

Never had to reveal my bottom half at all. Top half including bra had to be taken off only for chest X-ray.

I had a blood test and two jabs (mmr & tetanus).

Very friendly, professional and polite.

Also sympathetic to the anxiety these medical checks can cause.

There is a lot of waiting about, nothing to worry about though.
