Worried about my i129F

Hi all. I sent my i129F 2 months ago (february). I just realized now that the i129 form that I submitted expired already on 6/30/2016. I've been preparing those papers for months and has been in a folder on my desktop since last year. I just submitted them this February not realizing that there was a new form already. I paid the new fee but I unfortunately used the outdated form. Now I am extremely worried that our application will be delayed. My fiancee is currently pregnant and she's due on October. Anybody got any suggestions or advice? Thank you so much.

 

EDIT:  Upon searching for similar situations. My anxiety just doubled since there was a case that was rejected because of the outdated form used. However, USCIS did not cash their check and application was returned to sender. My check was cashed and my current status is "Case Was Received". Any thoughts? So pissed at myself for not noticing it.

Rejected = when they don't even accept your case, they just return it to you, no biggie

 

Accepted = they cash your check and you receive NOA1, you're good to go.

 

Yours was obviously accepted, so no need to worry then.

USCIS accepted your form already, right (i.e. you got a NOA1)? Then I don't think it will be an issue. At worst you'll get an RFE, but wrong forms are generally caught at the lockbox when first put into the system.

 

That said, I think you used an acceptable form. The 6/30/2016 date is the OMB expiration date, not the edition date. The edition date is on the lower-left corner. My form submitted on Dec. 1st, 2016 has the same 6/30/2016 OMB expiration date, and was approved by USCIS last month. The "edition" date on mine was was 6/13/13.

Thank you all for your inputs. It made me feel a lot better. I really appreciate it. Yes, I got my NOA1. According to the USCIS website, "Starting Feb. 21, 2017, we will no longer accept previous editions of these forms."

I sent my application Feb 22. Hopefully this won't be a problem in the future. 

 

Just curious if any february filers on the same boat?

I just realized myself that I did the same exact thing. I submitted the expired form. (Top Right Corner: Expires 6/30/2016) (Bottom Left corner: 06/13/13 N).  I am so upset with myself and I began to panic. I looked up the NOA2 approvals and noticed that some petitions were rejected due to wrong form.  I'm going to complete the new form just in case they ask for an RFE. . I filed my petition the end of January with a receipt date of February 2, 2017. I received the NOA1 already and my check has been cashed. Please let me know how it goes for you on the form issue. I pray that everything works out fine for the both of us.

You submitted the correct form, and it was accepted. Rejections for the wrong form occur before they accept it and send the NOA1.

 

The OMB expiration (6/30/2016) has no impact. That's for the the Office of Management and Budget and is for accounting purposes with them.
