Hey all. I came here as a K1 in October 2016. Filed everything for AOS on November 7th 2016. Received EAD in February.

Now we are just waiting (as I'm sure most people using this forum is!), but I am curious if there is anything I can do except wait?

And am especially curious as to whether there is a way to find out if my I-485 is still at the main centre, or if it has been sent on to my local office (San Antonio)?

I-129F sent: 2016-04-27

NOA1 Email & Text: 2016-05-04

NOA1 Received in Mail: 2016-05-18

NOA2 Email & Text: 2016-07-06 (63 DAYS!)

NOA2 Received in Mail: 2016-07-18

Did you check your USCIS status?

I don't think that USCIS would tell you where they process your application. The only real thing you can do is to wait and check your status once or twice a week.

  • Have to agree. Until RFE, or "Approved/Card production" I don't think there is any other status updates. You can try calling them but don't think they will give much info except to wait.

If you call them they might tell you where it's at, they told me when I called (that wasn't the reason I called them though).

Also, your case can still be at NBC, or it has been shipped off to a field office somewhere in the country, doesn't have to be your local one. Many K-1s don't get an interview so your case could potentially be in a field office in the other side of the country, you just don't get an interview then for obvious reasons.
