Hi All,

The visajourney link indicates all the documents I need to submit to i-130 application for my foreign spouse >> http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1

But it doesn't mentions I-130A .

If you look at the USCIS link for the i-130 application, it does mentions i-130A. Should I also submit i-130A along with i-130, or send it later on?

thank you

On that note, it also says this :

  • If you are using the 12/23/16 edition of Form I-130 to file for your spouse, you must also submit two Form G-325A, Biographic Information: one for you and one for your spouse.  Do not submit Form G-325.Please read our Lockbox Filing Tips.

Which means  that the most recent form of I-130 is edition 02/27/17 (which asks the I-130A too) So if we are gonna fill up the most recent edition we dont need to fill up the G-325A along with the I-130 ?

Thanks!!!

Hi,

I think  - G325A is a must....

Just to clarify - I am an US citizen, petitioning for my foreign spouse. Not sure if i-130A is applicable for me?

G-325A is a must only if you are using 12/23/16 version or previous, since the new I-130 includes all the information od the G-325A

It is a must to include the i-130A if you are using the new i-130 form.

https://www.uscis.gov/i-130

  • If you are using the 02/27/17 edition of Form I-130 to file for your spouse, you must also submit a Form I-130A, Supplemental Information for Spouse Beneficiary.
  • If you are using the 12/23/16 edition of Form I-130 to file for your spouse, you must also submit two Form G-325A, Biographic Information: one for you and one for your spouse.  Do not submit Form G-325.Please read our Lockbox Filing Tips.

You're Welcome.

I didn't used that form, because we sent our application on March, so the 12/23/16 edition was still good.

Starting 04/28/17, USCIS will only accept the 02/27/17 edition.

I don't think you will need to send anything to him right now (not mail post if is what you meant), since he is going to send everything from USA, most of the things you can scan them and send them by email.

Check the elements you will need to send in this guide:

http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1

I scanned my passport style pictures, making sure they were HQ, so he only needed to print them, along with all the evidence we had and the first page of my passport.

He included a copy of his birth certificate of course and the marriage certificate.

The cover letter is useful, and allows you to list and describe what you are sending, it also works as your own checklist.

I am a US citizen petitioning for my foreign spouse, who currently lives in her country. Looking at I-130A, everything there needs to be filled up by my wife? It's not meant for me, the petitioner? Just making sure...

Hi All,

I was looking at this USCIS link for I-130 process: https://www.uscis.gov/i-130

If you closely look at the form I-130A, everything there should pertain to my alien wife? like these sections below >>

Part 1. Information About You (spouse beneficiary) (my wife's information?)
Part 2. Information About Your Employment (my wife's information?)

These sections are meant to be filled by my foreign spouse and not me, the petitioner?

thank you
