Name in I-130 & I-129F

I have filed K-3 and I-130 for my wife but i used my name as middle name but in her passport middle name is her father's name!! We have same last name. Would it be problem!! To change the name in passport could take months ..any help in this matter!!

You have to call them up, and ask them to make the correction. Change the information on the I-129F and I-130 biographical data for your wife to match that of her passport name. This will delay your application, but, it will not be delayed months.

On the other hand, if you want to change the name on the passport, it will most likely take longer than the corrections if you were to phone in the information to the service center. This is just a suggestion.

I too have filed I-130 and I-129F for my wife using my name as her middle name (we both have same last name). If you have not called USCIS already, I would recommend having your wife's middle name changed in Passport. This way you won’t have to go thru name change once she comes here. It takes about 15 days to get name changed in passport given you provide valid marriage certificate and copy of husband’s US Passport.
