Hi!

AOS from K1 interview was done today in Downtown LA. It was fairly smooth, no personal or relationship question asked. My only problem is my "incomplete" medical from the Philippines. The COMPLETE box in the DS-3025 was not ticked or checked. He said he believes that I received all required vaccinations in the Philippines, that he understands how disappointed I am, and he feels bad that I will be paying for another medical when I have already paid a lot during my first medical, and that he's aware of other applicant's suggestions that it can be left blank or unchecked for non-immigrant/k1 visa petitions, BUT they have a procedure to follow. He went on to show and explain the policies and procedures that they have.

He handed me a RFE which read:

"Since Form DS-3025 was not completed in its entirely, you are required to submit a new FORM I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, to complete your application process."

My questions are:

1. Do I need a new set of medical tests from the civil surgeon OR I just need to have the I-693 done and completed?

2. Do I need to bring my old, "incomplete" DS-3025 during my appointment with the civil surgeon?

3. That is the only thing required. Aside from a copy of the RFE, do I need to enclose anything else? Cover letter, perhaps? With attn: to a specific person?

4. What is the time frame from receipt of the required document to receiving of the green card, if approved?

Thank you in advance for the reply.

I remember when a VJ member got a corrected DS-3025 from St. Lukes.  Maybe you can do the same.

Thanks for the tip, Tahoma! :)
