hi

no, if it is your child, then he or she won't be coming on a k2, you will be filing CRBA for her, not a GC

unless you don't qualify to pass him or her your citizenship

CRBA is applied in her country of birth, that's why it's called Consular Report of Birth Abroad, it can't be done in the US, it must be done over there so your child can enter the country with a US passport

Hello someone close to me  just completed this (successfully for CRBA and US passport for baby) and if you the US citizen live and work in USA you will have to go with fiance at embassy in her country(will have to make appointment depending on country they only do certain types of paperwork on certain days of the week so you will need to find out) with baby to sort this out. You will be able to also apply for US passport for your child. For the interview they will want medical records(ultrasounds etc) from the pregnancy, you will need to carry passport photos of the baby, baby birth certificate, proof of you and your fiance relationship, your tax stuff and so on to prove you are US Citizen and still reside in US

If you can pass citizenship to your child they will not be given a k2 visa.  If you can't pass it to her then yes the visa will be issued and you can do the citizenship in the US
