If President Trump didn’t like those inauguration photos, just wait until he sees the ones from Wednesday’s New England Patriots visit.

There were a lot of no-shows from the Patriots as the team met

It was the largest Patriots turnout in the history, period, of the Presidency, period. 

 

EDIT: (I don't really care about who from the Patriots showed up honestly, I just like making fun of Sean Spicer).

Both on TV and in person. Many of them watched from home I guess.

Trump will blame it on fake news, and tweet that the photo was doctored. He will also claim the photos were taken at different times of the day. LOL.

 

He will also say never have more Patriots been at the WH under any other president, ever.

I don't remember Trump, or Spicer saying anything about this.  The photo comparison appears to be an MDL narrative hence my comment.  My understanding is that with the Obama photo, WH staffers were the people on the stairs, but who really cares.

I'm not talking about this particular issue. I'm talking about Trump's persona in general. He has an obsession with being the "best" and "biggest". He made it a point to argue he had the biggest inauguration crowd ever. He went into detail about the "best chocolate cake", making it look like it was a foot tall with his hands. There are many more examples.

 

He sets himself up to be made fun of since most of them he isn't the biggest and best, despite what he thinks.

So President Trump has an ego, call me shocked.  Name me a President, or leading politician that doesn't have an ego.  Heck, even Bernie Sanders has an ego.

It's important that the so-called president believe his is always bigger. 

 

He falsely claimed attendance to his inauguration was the largest ever, and got very, very upset when it turned out it wasn't very big at all.

It doesn't matter...it really doesn't if or why 2 Patriots or 80 came to the Whitehouse.  It really is poking the bear...but it happens...and there is irony because of the consistent inappropriate and infantile bragging about size of things (crowds, hands, poll numbers, opponent fraud) that comes out of Trump and his team. It really is a culture the he created and nourishes.  Sean Spicer, Sarah Huckabee, Kelly Anne Conway...we keep seeing a pattern of them creating and managing alternative narratives and (Kelly Anne invented the phrase) alternative facts.  All political teams reframe and spin out of necessity for political survival...but this group is different in that there is this cult like group constantly wrapped around Trumps axle of egoism and thin skin. So why is the Patriots pic funny/ironic? Because of Trumps obsession with living in his own dimensional universe.

Again, I ask, did anyone from the "actual" President's staff, or he himself say anything about this picture?  I will grant you the inauguration thing was quite childish, but in this case it was the NYTs phishing for a reaction.  So far I haven't seen it and we know how much President Trump likes to tweet.  If or when the WH does respond, then all your comment may have validity, but at this point it is just a lot of MDL hand wringing and wishful thinking.
