I-129F Physical Address Questions

Hello,

I have found this forum to be a great resource while my fiancee and I prepare to send our petition, and I have a couple questions regarding the new form released recently.

I met my fiancee while we are both studying at a University in China this year, she is Russian.  Because we are both in China at the moment, I am having my Mom call USCIS for questions, but I am not sure if she is indicating properly our questions:

1.) Her mailing address is at her grandparents' home in Russia, and that is where we would like her packet and all items to be sent.  However, she has spent the majority of the past three years in China on a student visa.  The question is under Beneficiary Address History, Item 12, where it asks to list physical address history, my Mom says she was told to put mailing or permanent address in those locations, even though she has been the majority of the time in China;  Is this correct since she is just a student?

a.) Where it says to write address in her native alphabet, this should be her Mailing address?

2.) In the same vein as the last question, where it asks if my mailing address is the same as my physical address, since it currently is not, but will be again at the end of July, should I mark that it is or is not?

We are just confused as to how to answer these questions, since it will be strange to explain we met in China, have student Visas, etc., but not put it as the physical address.  Hoping to avoid an RFE to set the process back any longer than it will already be.

Hello,

I met my fiancee while we are both studying at a University in China this year, she is Russian.  Because we are both in China at the moment, I am having my Mom call USCIS for questions, but I am not sure if she is indicating properly our questions:

1.)     a.) Where it says to write address in her native alphabet, this should be her Mailing address? Mailing address can be different than her physical address. If you want any potential paperwork to be sent to her in Russia instead of China then use her Russian address.

2.) In the same vein as the last question, where it asks if my mailing address is the same as my physical address, since it currently is not, but will be again at the end of July, should I mark that it is or is not? If you are filing it before you return to the US, then mark your physical different than mailing address......

We are just confused as to how to answer these questions, since it will be strange to explain we met in China, have student Visas, etc., but not put it as the physical address.  Hoping to avoid an RFE to set the process back any longer than it will already be. This can be simplified with the "How you met" question, use an attachment form and state that you have been in schooling together in China....

Thanks for the reply,

Okay, the last 5 years part is on the G-325a, which I believe is no longer required.  Would it still be appropriate to include this in petition packet?  The new form has the last two physical addresses.

Ah havent looked at the new form honestly. If it just asks for the last 2 physical addresses(no time line or time limit) then put the last two. If thats China and then Russia before hand just do that.

If you feel maybe there would be some complication of confusion again can add an attachment explaining or explain it more within the "How we met" question with an attachment that goes into more detail.

Well the new form only has two spaces for physical addresses but it still says for the last five years...how detailed does it have to be? Should I put every single place I've lived (college addresses, study abroad, different addresses in Spain where I've lived, when I stayed at my parents' house in the US), or just the places I've stayed longest (parents' house/apartments in Spain)? I'm living with my fiancee now in Spain.

I also am a bit confused because I the PETITIONER was looking at a 1-129F form and it ask for my physical address for the last five year but i am a single commercial pilot and I live out of hotels and I only use Mailboxes to receive all my mail. I can use I old seattle apartment address for the first few years but after that I have been just mostly hotels from USA to Thailand . So maybe i can just use my brothers home address or my friends home address because I do stay there when i am between countries.

So can we just use family or friends home address?

Do these answers still apply? I'm having the same problem currently?

I suggest that you start your own thread with the particulars of your situation and not pick a thread that his more then 2 years old. Your answer will be more centered toward your situation.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks
