So USCIS updated their processing times today, and I noticed that the processing times on VJ (which are usually more accurate than USCIS) are way behind! I think that while we're really good about updating on our monthly threads, we're not always updating our VJ timelines as quickly! So, once you get your approval, or what have you, make sure you go into your profile and update the timeline, so the VisaJourney elves can keep their databases current.

Thanks!

Is your timeline updated?

The USCIS data is as of  Feb 28.  Surely VJ has more up to date info.

According to my calculations, USCIS data shows they're 87 days behind on EAD/AP applications. Which would mean PDs as of January 22 are being processed right now. VJ is 10 days behind, showing January 12.

(Of course, this is using past data to make a prediction about the current state, assuming there was no change in processing speed between Feb 28 and today.)

N-400 Application for Naturalization

Day    00 - 08/31/20 - Submitted online N-400 application. ROC still pending. Requested combo interview.

Day    01 - 09/01/20 - NOA received online. Status says biometrics appt letter will be sent. (PD 08/31/20)

Day  141 - 01/20/21 - Biometrics reuse letter

Day  233 - 04/22/21 - ROC approved, no news on N-400

Day  288 - 06/18/21 - Interview scheduled

Day  332 - 07/30/21 - Successful interview. No decision yet.

Day 758  - 09/28/22 - Oath ceremony will be scheduled

Day 870 - 01/18/23 - Oath ceremony complete

VJ also uses timeline data to populate the lists shown here (Lift conditions timelines [stats]) which helps them put dates in the "Processing Dates for Common Forms" which you can see on the Processing Times and Immigration Timelines tabs. Yes, we on VJ are usually much more up-to-date than USCIS, but right now, the data from CSC on I-751 timelines is saying May 22, when we know they've processed 30% of June filers, and USCIS says June 7. When I clicked on the list I linked to, it showed that lots of CSC filers who have been approved must not have updated their timelines, since they're not listed on the spreadsheet there, and thus their data isn't available to use in calculations.

Thanks for the reminder, nightingalejules!  Just as an example....on the I-751 April 2016 Filers forum, we have 54 names of people who filed their ROC (Lifting Conditions) at the Vermont Service Center.  In the VJ timeline section, there are only 30 names.

It would be great if all 54 filers also had timelines - because I'm sure there are people with timelines who do NOT participate in the forum.  The more data we have, the better off we are in figuring out what's really going on.  USCIS dates are laughable.

What this means is that everyone prior to February 28th has been dealt with.  We KNOW they are processing April applications now, but I guess there are still March filers outstanding...
