I just received my packet 3 in Paris.

In the check list they're asking me my birth certificate. They said that this certificate should have the name and date of birth of my parents written on it. Even though I have the name of my parents, their date of birth is not written. Will this be a problem at the interview?

Do French birth certificates usually list the parent's birthdates? American birth certificates do not have that information--at least mine doesn't. I don't see how your parent's birthdates could be important.

My french birth certificate do have my parents birth date and place.

They are most likely requesting a long form birth certificate or whatever the similar name is in your country, they contain that information.

My parents are both listed and their date of birth. You might have to contact the department that handles birth certificates (here in the states, it's sometimes referred to as Vital Records) in your country to get what some call a long form birth certificate that has more detailed information. Hope this helps.

I checked my wife's and it has their names but not their dates of birth (She is from Colombia.) She had no problems using that birth certificate at the K1 and the AOS stages. So! I am assuming that you will be OK. Good Luck
