Foreign Beneficiary Forms- Missing Birth Certificate

My fiance currently does not have birth certificate, who lives in Pakistan. Is it optional or what other document can substitute it. Also am I reading it correctly that Police certificate is not required for citizens of Pakistan.

Hi,

Your fiance gonna need the birth certificate and Police certificate both. Because if they ask and you don't have it. you will end up getting a 221(g). Your fiancee can get the birth certificate and police certificate both from Town Hall. It takes 2 weeks for police certificate and couple of days for birth certificate.

 

I got my birth certificate in 2 days and Police certificate in 2 weeks delivered at home by courier.

 

The embassy website do say that Pakistani national don't need police certificate unless he lived abroad for more than 6 months. In that case, he/she will need it from that country.

 

But my advise you get both and don't take a chance.
