Friday at about 17pm Eric and I were watching a movie when someone knocked on the door.

When he opened it there was a woman in a suit carrying a portfolio asking (this is what he understood) if he was looking for someone Spanish  he said no and closed the door.

He says the woman was not native american or that at least had an accent, and she did not indentify herself as anything, DHS, FBI or whatever...but now I am freaking out.

What if she was checking if we were together?what if he misunderstood her and she asked if someone spanish was living there?I have read lately here on VJ about members getting surprise visits so I am getting a little paranoid.

Maybe it was nothing but it was too weird to be nothing. We had biometrics done just thursday and then friday the strange visit, should i be worried?was it just a misunderstanding? We were touched today and everything seems normal but...i feel worried and silly that we did not ask anything else, but she ust asked and left, nothing more.

MariaEric,

The apprehensive feeling will get you to panic. There are a whole range of possibility that may have occurred. One, it maybe that the person came to the wrong address. Second, the person maybe a door to door salesman. Or, it could be anything.

For a home visit they are required to identify themselves. It was obviously a case of someone knocking on the wrong door.

Argh, you are right, I know it could be so many things, but it is hard not to get worried about it especially if you are a natural worrier heh :hehe:

I have been checking the missed calls to see if there were any DHS numbers (as i read it on another thread) but nothing, i guess i am just overworried about the whole process ;)

I doubt this had anything to do with immigration. I wouldn't be too concerned about it.

Ok thanks :) , I will try not to think about it anymore! And just think today's touch was something good

Thanks guys, it is such a relief to be able to share these panic moments with people who are not going to think I am just crazy

That's the glory of VJ...we're all crazy enough to understand you!! If you told that stuff to your average friend, they'd have the funny wagon after you tout suite!
