Two AOS questions - please help

I sent my application for AOS 485 and shows receipt on the 14th April in chicago.  Its the 25th and the check hasn't been cashed. No receipt mailed to me. No electronic notice...nada.  How long does this normally take to get started?

Up to 30 days. 

 

As as long as you have delivery confirmation, just wait it out. They receive a LOT and it takes time (as frustrating as that is.)

Thanks. The hard part is keeping funds in my bank account for when they cash the check. LOL

I hear ya.  We were using funds from my husbands account for the K1 and then our joint account for the AOS, but I know he'd look at the balance, get squirley and buy a bunch of video games so I sucked it up and paid the $8 to get a money order so that the funds were taken right away for the bank to hold in trust. 

 

But I obsessively called the self-serve line to check if the MO had been redeemed twice per day. Haha
