As a Jew, I have no hatred for white supremacists. I think they're misguided, yes. I also think antifa folks are misguided. The problem I have with this liberal trend of not trusting people to be able to use their own brain is I find it more than infringing on one's freedom to be insulting. Whether it is limiting the size of sodas, forcing people to save for retirement, and it goes on and on, we've discussed many examples and now we're basically being told that people can't think for themselves so they need to be shielded from right wing extremists with dangerous views because they are so gullible if only you let them listen to that ####### they will end up believing it. Personally, I have a bigger issue with liberal professors and the indoctrination in schools, because alot of college kids can't think for themselves. Adults usually can. Lets not offend people by saying they shouldn't be allowed to listen to someone else's views, as misguided as they may be, and make up their own mind about it.

But that happens all the time and everywhere. Have you looked at the guidelines for this very forum?

 

In any case, free speech comes in three flavors: protected, partially protected, and unprotected.

I'm not talking about direct incitement, that should not be tolerated on either side. I'm talking about views. The forum has nothing to do with this - they are allowed to set their own rules as a privately owned internet space. It's not the government and it's not a country. And last I knew even here people are allowed to express their views on certain issues, posts usually get deleted for personal insults etc, not for someone's political opinion.
