Police arrest at least 20 as protesters clash at pro-Trump rally in Berkeley

Actually on reinspection I can see the blue shirted man reach out to punch her at 10 seconds. Again I see no indication prior to that to show that she attacked him first.

Then it seems like they get separated by a large fight. He can then be seen around 23 seconds coming back around the fight to find her. Since there was an attempted altercation prior, I would say his intent is quite clear. He is seeking her out again to punch her.

Whatever happened between them at the beginning of the video (around 10 seconds), they were clearly separated by the crowds. If she had threatened him, he then had the opportunity to get out of that situation to protect himself. The video shows quite clearly that he then proceeds to head straight towards her again in order to attack her.

So while his initial punch at 10 seconds "may" have been self defense (we still can't quite see clearly whether her use of the wine bottle itself was a form of self defense), the situation in which his life/health was threateneded ENDED (he was separated). He then specifically went towards her to assault her.

It was Saturday...are folks allowed to mix it up on Saturdays?

Not really. Everyone should follow the so-called president's example, and.... oh, well, never mind.... The guy is never at work!

Here is what the fuss was over...the Antifa skateboarders and the Shirtless Patriots both wanted this dumpster

Demonstrators for (R) and against (L) U.S. President Donald Trump push a garbage container toward each other during a rally in Berkeley

Well, the dumpster does say "trash only." How could the shirtless patriots resist?

You make a good point.  Basically Reddit is a branch of the dnc. Reddit has changed their algorithms so many times and changed their rules to suppress trump supporters ,it would make a communist proud.

And Twitter+Facebook have done the same. Have blocked them on my hosts files since summer of last year.

If NB can admittedly punch a woman in the face for pulling out a gun when feeling threatened, I'm sure this lady has the right to supposedly pick up a bottle to defend herself while being repeatedly punched in the face. Of course that's just in eye-for-an-eye land.

the dexterity needed to pick up a bottle while falling down is mind boggling........

Sorry not to offend but a Reddit site with a giant banner of Donald Trump photos at the top wouldn't be my "go to" place for the truth.

Can you not see that it clearly has a fairly strong slant? There is a clear incentive for a source like that to present information that supports a specific viewpoint.

To humour you though I found this video. Probably the most "complete" version of the video I've seen. They stop and zoom in at the beginning. Once again it shows her holding the bottle. Clearly though at that point there was already pandemonium going on. So again, did she have the bottle as a form of protection? The whole scenario looked like one I know I would not want to be a part of, and I would have honestly been concerned for my life/health in that situation. If I was scared enough I may look towards anything to use to protect myself.

Then later on it shows the blue shirted man and her. He appears to come over from the background towards the foreground. She then is looking to the left while he is off camera (presumably approaching her). It is then literally a split second but from what I can see she turned back right to face him and then was moving forward with her arms out but OPEN, perhaps in a "shoving" motion. Perhaps to get him away, or to make her way in that direction. His response to the "shove" was a full blown close fisted punch. Specifically at 25 seconds. If you pause it both of her hands are "open". She isn't going in for a punch. He is clearly winding his right arm back already at that point, though it is off camera. It is hard because a lot happens within the 24-25 second mark. To me though, she is initially looking left/away from the camera, then turns to the right as he is approaching her. He was clearly coming in from a distance. I don't see any evidence in this photo that she physically attacked this man prior to him punching her.

She is going for an attack the 2nd time she gets hit. Her problem is.....she doesn't know how to fight. Just a dumb kid thinking it would be easy to bring some wine bottles ,throw them or hit someone and take some "scalps".

Plus...you don't understand fighting. This is one group against another. Basically war without weapons. You don't wait for the other side to hit you...you hit them first.  Just like war....does not matter if the enemy is sleeping....you just shoot them. The people that were there knew what they were doing. She was not innocent. She was there to assault, but ended up getting the worst of it.

Even if she was holding a wine bottle, you are allowed to hold a wine bottle without being assaulted. Perhaps she thought it provided "protection"?

yes, i'm sure many people go to riots and hold empty wine bottles by the neck..........

The two people were separated by a group of people. The man clearly is the one that proceeded to seek her out in order to attack her again. He is shown (the video even zooms in on him) in the distance. If he didn't want the altercation he didn't have to go back towards her to attack her again.

As I pointed out, at around 23-24 seconds she is facing left/away from the camera. Meanwhile the man is off screen, but based on where he was coming from he was likely to the right (so out of her view). She then turns to the right, likely saw him (again still off camera) and then moved forward.

Based on the perspective we cannot tell if he was approaching her with clear violent intent which led to her putting her arms up. Honestly her arms going up with fingers OPEN suggest to me more of a "stop" motion, not an attack motion. Both arms up with fingers open is not a "violent gesture" to me.
