So was she "brandishing" or actually swinging it AT other people? Also what is your source for that information? Since the photo you provided shows nothing from that time point. In fact the bottle may not even be hers, according to this photo, since she is no longer holding it.

 

You can "brandish" an item in a threatening way without actually attacking someone. If she was just swinging it in the air, I don't think that is justification to be assaulted. I'm sure there were a lot of things being "brandished" at the protest before it became violent.

Who goes to peacefully protest.....with empty wine bottles? Don't forget....she posted she was going to scalp people.....before she went.  She went there to assault people.....by her words and actions.

Again how do we know the wine bottle was hers? The photo doesn't provide any evidence. The bottle was midair at the time the photo was taken.

 

First hand account from the person who punched her? 

 

She may very well be guilty, but not based on that photo alone or from a first hand account of someone who assaulted her.

Not saying it didn't happen...but that picture does not show someone "swinging a wine bottle". It shows someone holding a wine bottle (well some type of bottle? I can't really tell if it is wine specifically) being pushed by another person.

Who goes to peacefully protest while brandishing fists? Also do you have access to her facebook page link or are a facebook friend on a personal basis? Or did you just see a clever photoshop image meme that may or may not exist put together on a forum? Scalp people really? Hmm, you know those dailystormer people say that sort of thing and even more. If NB can admittedly punch a woman in the face for pulling out a gun when feeling threatened, I'm sure this lady has the right to supposedly pick up a bottle to defend herself while being repeatedly punched in the face. Of course that's just in eye-for-an-eye land.

Her right hand is plained seen.

 

Her left hand is most likely the hand circled in red. That can't be the hand of the man in blue since it is reaching for his left bicep and his right hand is already in view. You can't reach for your left bicep with your left hand.

 

So what photo again shows that she has a clear grip on the bottle?

Haha I have to post a retraction

 

I just looked at it again and realized on first inspection it looked to me like the bottle was right side up. Now I realize it is likely upside down. Once I saw it a certain way it was very difficult to realize the opposite. For some reason the label on the bottle made me think of it as right side up.

Ya I was taking another look at it and then all of a sudden my eyes refocused and I was like "Oh damn, nevermind".

 

It's like those photos of the Old Lady/Young Lady. It was very hard to see the opposite once my eyes settled on what I thought I saw.

In which case I just have to go back to wanting to know how the altercation started. Even if she was holding a wine bottle, you are allowed to hold a wine bottle without being assaulted. Perhaps she thought it provided "protection"? 

 

Do we only have "first hand accounts" from those involved in the altercation to say that she was attacking them? We would need unbiased reporting of who initiated the attack.
