Timeline

I apologize in advance if I'm posting this in the wrong section, but I couldn't find a proper section to post this.

Anyhoo, the question is... does anyone know if all the $$$ forked over to the bureaucrat are tax deductible (K-1 visa stuff, AOS, etc etc)? Wife and I are still waiting for the AOS to come through pending FBI check and now she needs to shell out more money for reapplying the EAD.

July 2005 - proposed to her in Taiwan

August 2005 - began K1 application

September 2005 - K1 application sent

October 2005 - NOA1/NOA2 received

November 2005 - Embassy sent packet to her

December 2005 - Interview/approval

December 2005 - Moved from NY to CO

May 2006 - She entered US

June 24 2006 - GOT MARRIED

June 26 2006 - AOS/EAD/AP packet sent

July 6 2006 - received NOA

July 13 2006 - received Appointment for Biometrics

July 25 2006 - Biometrics

Sept 1 2006 - AOS interview

Sept 19 2006 - received AP

Sept 24 2006 - received EAD

May 3 2007 - received CRIS email notification: "Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident"

Nothing paid to the government is tax deductible, sorry there, sort of like taking a deduction on all the taxes paid the year before.

married: jan 5, 2007

noa 1: march 2nd, 2007

interview @ tampa, fl office: april 26, 2007

green card received: may 5, 2007

removal of conditions timeline:

03/26/2009 - received in VSC

07/20/2009 - card production ordered!

Only charitable donations (501 © 3 organizations, which the government is not) and certain expenses relating to your job are deductible as well as random other things...not paying dues to the government.

10/23/2006 - I-129F approved (97 days from CSC)

AOS

03/03/2007 - Married!

03/14/2007 - I-485 + I-765 sent

03/21/2007 - NOA1, Checks cashed

06/01/2007 - EAD card production e-mail received (74 days)

07/27/2007 - EAD RECEIVED (57 days after approval)

11/29/2007 - Infopass appointment - file was sent to a storage facility before it was finished processing.

05/28/2008 - Received AOS Interview notice

07/10/2008 - AOS Interview-APPROVED pending fingerprints

09/22/2008 - GREEN CARD IN HAND!

Removing Conditions

06/04/2010 - Sent I-751

06/07/2010 - NOA1

06/09/2010 - Check cashed

07/22/2010 - Biometrics Appointment

09/08/2010 - Card production e-mail
