CANADA - Do you need the original i-864 for interview?

Just wondering whether or not you need the ORIGINAL i-864 for the visa interview? I've read conflicting information on the Consulate's website and the NVC website so I'm just not sure. My husband is in the US and has the original and my interview is on the 28th so just trying to figure out if he'll need to send this to me.

Thanks

We electronically submitted all of the forms for our last package we sent.

It doesn't hurt to have it with you at the interview, in case they ask for it. If you cannot get the original, at least have him scan you a copy. After all, the one you sent via email was technically a copy too.

Yeah I have the scanned copy that I had sent to the NVC and have that printed to take. I'll probably have my husband express post the original to me but I'm going to try calling to the consulate in Montreal on Monday morning to see whether or not it's needed.

When we submitted our documents electronically, the instructions were clear that all original documents were to be presented at the interview.  Was a line like "Any original documents that were requested by the NVC but were not submitted to the NVC must be brought to the visa interview."

Montreal is very slow to process documents submitted after the interview, so I suggest bringing the original and saving yourself the wait.

yes you need the originals at interview.  I had my husband send me the final page and took that with my copy of the rest.

When I went for my interview in February, they didn't ask to see the I-864, FYI.
